Why is this making you nervous? Do you think scum is revving up the bus and then backing off?In post 1298, the worst wrote: Why is tired person being wagonned?
I'm a little nervous that a wagon on May never quite sticks-

I don't operate in logical thoughts it makes me nervous because it makes me nervous. I'm not sure about May's alignment and I think that's a very common vibe rn so I'm nervous! In post 1301, Black wrote:

Hey I’m glad everyone thinks I’m town but I was hoping for a response in what I actually said or if that makes sense as an argument-

i think it's possible but i don't know if there's reason to believe that it's more likely than the town explanation. i thought ceejay's play was suspicious as well but that point doesn't convince me much. i think the worst has been more townie. In post 1310, DArby wrote: Hey I’m glad everyone thinks I’m town but I was hoping for a response in what I actually said or if that makes sense as an argument-

it's not correct. it has merits as an argument, there are lightly fallacious aspects that fall within the realm of standard rhetoric. in the scheme of things, i think it's misguided but reasonable and authentic. In post 1310, DArby wrote: Hey I’m glad everyone thinks I’m town but I was hoping for a response in what I actually said or if that makes sense as an argument

i think i actually need you to do more, rather than say more. i've felt a few empty promises from your slot - it's possible you're doing the work, but we can't see it.In post 1311, experience wrote:

i understand you did a meta dive on implosion. this isn't actually alignment indicative in itself; your results and how they interface with your reads are the part that's alignment indicative.
i understand you're doing player rereads. this isn't actually alignment indicative in itself; your results and how they interface with your reads are the part that's alignment indicative.
if i'm charitable & assume you're town (which is unlikely, because honestly i townread everyone else outside the coalition, but it's not 0%):
1. you aren't confident in your reads or take on the gamestate.
2. you promise to do a thing which might help correct #1.
3. you report back having done the thing.
4. you either reactively say you don't have a meaningful outcome, or say nothing.
5. if having said nothing, when queried on your findings, you don't report anything which meaningfully corrects #1.
the "false promises" thing is a bit of a scumtell but i think it's superficial. my issue here is that #1 makes you very hard to read - you are taking steps to correct it, but nothing you've done has actually meaningfully changed it. from my perspective this means you're either town who's trying really really hard and really struggling (which is a mood), or you're scum who's struggling to post complicated faked content about a game which is admittedly very difficult to parse.
if you're town, i'm left wondering where the working out is. i get that you're hitting roadblocks or not having massive read shifts, but where are your micro read shifts? what are you finding interesting, or noteworthy? what posts have people made which have made you go "scumbag!!"? what posts have people made that you find towny? there's just a whole lot of perspective and organic ideas which are conspicuously missing from your iso, and your efforts to find these have been fruitless.
meanwhile, if you're scum, i'm seeing you attempting to find new ways to wrap your head around a complicated game and producing AI content. this game is complicated and protecting literally any partner inside the coalition would be fairly challenging. so you're making an effort, but ultimately reaching that gluey-mouthed feeling of not knowing how to proceed without doing something which makes yours or your partner's lives harder. and this feels profoundly believable.
tsawwassen is one of my strongest townreads. i think darby is towny, and i'm willing to concede some of the issue i took with aventurine might have been a playstyle quirk/overwhelm thing. aventurine's last few posts made me kinda chew my lip a little but i was waiting for it to get back into the game. that isn't
important, because darby is here now and that isn't a cool unpopular take anymore. i missed my chance. aaaa. i also townread the worst a little. so i'm naturally going to find reasons to view you as scummy compelling, and i generally find them more compelling than my internal argument that you could be town.-

It's just a vanilla mafia game with public info know about groups of players' alignments. Voting in a group of players which is guaranteed to have scum is smart. Moros is a wagon which means voting there is a positive thing. Being caught up is nice but it's not necessary to place a vote.In post 991, Aventurine wrote:
Why do you say this?In post 990, the worst wrote: Aventurine's Moros vote makes perfect sense idc about what alignment it is rn
Also much lower urgency around sorting u in this stage of the day. That's less salient though I just don't think you voting before catching up is either confusing or useful to talk about.
i think aventurine felt the relief of not being a viable elimination candidate, or not having to be ostensibly towny, and i can taste a sigh of relief but also it starts to do solvy things right away which i think is a weakly positive sign so perhaps i was kind of starting to prepare myself for darby to be towny
again i appreciate that this isn't a cool spicy hot towny take just working through it off the back of my response to experience
this is the part of my experience lim suggestion which isn't a meme. i wonder how that alternate reality is going right now.-

within the coalition i guess i'm at like
Moros
May/tired person
Black
implosion
accepting May's point that Black is fairly threadspewed we just have very different like brain vibes and i do not connect with the read on an emotional level
moros is the only townread i'd really commit to inside the coalition if it's scum i'll cry-

implosion is my strongest townread. Don't have anything else to say about your list
that dichotomy earlier in my ramble responding to one of moros' posts is kinda where I'm at. he had a logical, structured way of approaching thought things. the mathematician brain. I think when I peel back the layers, I can see some like little cracks and flaws in the concepts behind his thoughts which feel quite human & authentic. I don't really sense a consistent narrative or agenda in his posts except for the kind of stubbornness which I also think he's acutely aware of.
oohhh if he's scum he also is very self aware here which would be quite impressive..-
