This is the main thread for the Liar Game Tournament, which is now open for sign-ups. There will be 15 rounds in the tournament, with one player eliminated each round. The games will generally allow for private player communication, as well as private deals and contracts between players (cf. Rules, below). The main goal is to finish the tournament with as large a profit as you can.
The games are taken from the manga Liar Game by Shinobu Kaitani and the TV show Genius.

Rules.
0. All forum rules apply. Anyone violating any such rules will be given a warning. A second violation will result to the user being force-replaced and reported.
1. Post editing is not allowed, in the game threads. As they say, "Verba volant, scripta manent".
2. Unless noted otherwise, players can communicate privately at any time, during or between games. Such communication is still subject to the forum rules.
3. If a player becomes inactive for 48 hours, whilst their participation is still required for the game, they will be prodded. Following a prod, a player will have a further 48 hours to become active again. If a player fails to do so, or is prodded too many times, they will be replaced.
4. Lack of activity in private communications between players is not covered by the previous rule. In such an event, a player will be prodded, but they will not be required to reply, nor will they be replaced.
5. Each player will receive an account, which will hold their current funds (or debts). These funds will also serve as the final score of each player, once they are eliminated, or the tournament is over.
5a. Clarification: Once a player is eliminated, the amount of money in their account is recorded as their score. Additionally, if this number is positive, the amount will be distributed equally (rounded to the closest thousand), amongst the remaining players.
6. At any time, a player can contact the mod by PM with a request to transfer funds from their own account to that of another player. Use this at your own risk.
7. If two or more players wish to enter a contract, whereby they agree to undertake certain actions, all participating parties must send a PM to the mod, with identical provisions and conditions. If any participating party does not do so, the contract will not be accepted. If any party becomes unable to fulfill their contract, the contract will become void. Any accepted and non-voided contracts will be enforced by the mod.
7a. Clarification 1: If a contract becomes void, any provisions of the contract which were previously carried out (e.g. transfer of money) will not be undone.
7b. Clarification 2: Vague or unenforcable contracts will also not be accepted.
8. In the event of a replacement, all past money transfers and contracts pertaining to the replaced slot will be made known to the new player. Contracts will not be invalidated by replacement.
9. If a player needs to replace out and can find an interested user to replace them, this user will be allowed to do so. In such an event, it is suggested that the previous holder of the slot forwards any important communication they have had with other players, to their replacement.
10. The point of this tournament is to have fun. Please avoid engaging in behaviour which will disrupt this for others.
11. The mod reserves the right to modify these rules, should it become necessary.
