SETUP RULES

A game will be played with one contestant and up to 101 opponents (known collectively as the "Mob"). Although we could theoretically play with up to 101 players, this will likely never happen. Thus, we will be using percentages to calculate scores rather than total numbers. I predict games will last 2-4 weeks.
The basic rules for the game are located here.
After the game is over, the contestant must relinquish their seat regardless of the outcome. This is mandatory as long as there are others in the contestant queue.
Any players that /in as a contestant are assumed to play as part of the Mob while they wait on the queue. This is not mandatory, but strongly encouraged. Please specifically request via PM or in the thread if you have no intention to play in the Mob.
Players may (and are encouraged) to play as many times as they like however, and anyone is welcome to get back in the contestant queue if they're not currently playing as one.
Contestants will have no formal deadlines for answering, but please be respectful of everyone else. If you think you're going to be V/LA for an extended period of time, then replace out or have someone else play for you until you get back. The Mob members receive no such luxury. If a Mob member does not submit an answer within 72 hours during the first question or 48 hours for all successive questions, they may be eliminated for the remainder of the game. Further, unless they request otherwise, they will be removed from the Mob for future games. If a Mob member consistently fails to submit an answer on time, they will be indefinitely removed from participating as a Mob member.
For sake of fairness to all players, I will not be prodding any Mob members to remind them to play. I cannot do this on a consistent basis, therefore certain players would receive advantages that other players would not.
Players are ranked according to successfully beating the total Mob first and Historical Worth second. Historical worth is cumulative over every game played as contestant or Mob member. I will not be calculating win/loss statistics for Mob members.

ObjectiveOne contestant faces off against up to 101 opponents (the Mob). The objective of the contestant is to successfully eliminate the Mob. The objective of the Mob is to survive until the contestant fails.

How to Play

All players are asked a multiple choice question. There will be three possible choices for the question.
The Mob is given up to 72 hours to answer the first question, and 48 hours for all successive questions, by sending their answer choice via Private Message. If I do not hear back from a Mob player before this deadline, they are automatically eliminated and suspended from further play unless they request otherwise.
After all Mob members have answered or the 72/48 hours is up, the contestant is then allowed to submit his answer in the thread.
If the contestant answers correctly, the Mob members that answered incorrectly will be eliminated, and the contestant's dollar amount will increase depending on the percentage of Mob members eliminated. Mob members that answer the question correctly get to continue playing.
If the contestant answers incorrectly, the remaining Mob members that answered correctly will be victorious and split the winnings amongst themselves. The contestant is awarded no money.
During the game, the contestant has three "helps" they may use at any time (the one exception being that you may not use any additional helps during a round after using "Trust The Mob"):

The contestant selects one of the three answers about which to get more information — though this is not necessarily the contestant's answer. The number of Mob members who chose that answer is revealed, and the contestant chooses one of the revealed Mob members to discuss his or her response.
Ask The Mob
-
Two Mob members are randomly selected: one who answered correctly and one who answered incorrectly. Each explains his or her decision to the contestant. This also eliminates the third choice from consideration. If every Mob player gets the question correct or incorrect, one wrong answer is eliminated and play continues without interaction with the Mob.
Trust The Mob
-
The most popular answer the Mob gave is revealed. The contestant is then committed to this answer.

A contestant is allowed to walk away with his winnings after getting any question correct. This does not count as successfully beating the Mob, but the final score total is added to your Historical Worth.

Contestants win money based on percentage of the Mob eliminated during their game. They only get to keep this money if they successfully beat all Mob members or if they stop playing after successfully answering the previous question.
Mob members win money by staying alive until the contestant answers a question incorrectly. If a Mob player and contestant answer the same question incorrectly, this does not count as a victory for that specific Mob player.
If both the contestant and all remaining Mob members answer a question wrong, there is no victor.
Although Mob members are working together to outsmart the contestant, they are also competing with one another in some sense. The less Mob members there are surviving should a contestant answer a question wrong, the better. Therefore, it is not in the Mob members' best interest to work together/remind fellow Mob members to submit their answers.

1 vs 100 will be making a big come back very soon!

We will be taking sign-ups immediately! We will give preference to those who were signed up for the previous 1 vs 100 game. This means that anyone who signs up and was signed up in the previous 1 vs 100 game thread will go to the top of the list for contestants to play. I will only be taking these types of sign-ups for about the first month. Past that, it will be first come, first serve.

As for players who had signed up in the previous rendition of 1 vs 100, you will be placed on the contestant queue based on where you were relative to others that were on the contestant queue. For example, if RedCoyote was 4th on the old list and BipolarChemist was 10th on the old list, and BipolarChemist signed up for this 1 vs 100 game, well BipolarChemist would go to the top of the contestant queue. BUT, if RedCoyote were to then sign up, then RedCoyote would over take BipolarChemist's spot.

Again, sign-up style will revert to first come first serve after a month

I will start the first game later tonight or tomorrow, depending on sign-ups and other logistical things! The first question may have an extended period of time for more people to answer it and get this game some visibility. Hopefully we can get a 50+ mob for the first game
