Flameaxe and I discussed the possibility of hosting a meet in Austin and I really am excited about it. This could be a way around me hosting without actually needing to host people at my house (which I can't really do). We would rent out a cabin either in Austin or potentially somewhere in the Hill Country of Texas which is beautiful. I want it to be during the holidays of some sort so that we can squeeze in an extra day. After Reck/Brock's amazing meet, the one major thing we figured we could improve on is extending it a day so we didn't feel so rushed.

This place is 220 per person if we have 18.
If we take a day off and leave Monday, then it will be 180 per person. The reason I find this cost acceptable is because it is 5 minutes from the Airport which will save us cost on transportation. The location is pretty much exactly what you would want for a Survivor game too.

Transportation:
By car or by Plane. I am not aware of any train system that reaches Austin.
If you decide to Fly in, the Austin airport is easy to navigate and about 20 minutes from my house.
Cost:
The place I am looking at isn't as cheap as NC and we would be staying an extra day (tuesday). This means you should come expecting to spend 400 - 500 dollars if you are flying. That is about what I spent on the NC meet.
Plane Tickets range from 250 to 400 depending on where you are flying from and when. Flying to Dallas is usually cheaper but you are still four hours away from Austin. Maybe people can plan out a carpool system? OGML said he was going to drive and it's possible he could pick someone up or anyone else that is driving instead of flying.
I'll keep looking for lodging but expect the cost to range between 120 to 200.
