Of note: If I was actually posting up a storm elsewhere and was being unmotivated then hell yeah i'm scum. I'm lazy AF lately. But in this case I've been volunteering at a sports arena literally from 6am-6PM (The Midwestern First Robotics Regional at UiC, Chicago), coming home and crashing between days. Copper and company not knowing that is fine, but it is a valid factor in my meta and needs to be said.

Who's response to my PL thing pretty much sorts him as town although I'm really fucking sad that he took it personally, and I do regret that. Ceph's town becase town Chandra is town. Reck's hardliner approach to me "lurking it out" is actually exactly what town should think if they thought my absence was intentional.

Other notes:

LLD being emotional about losing the tokens doesn't make her town this time, it just makes her (rightfully) pissed about last time.

The way copper has slow faded on me makes sense if he's using PURELY meta to sort me, but the fact that he idn't go and check if I was posting elsewhere does give me pause.

The way tier is defending me is really odd when I really have yet to do anything town whatsoever and was absent for like 8 pages.

Not relevant to this game but holy shit my scum meta has become lurking RIP golden age, deader than CLG this split.

If I was JUST going off of the specific defense then yeah sure, but that stage of the game does not exist in a vacuum.

If I had to put my finger on it, your play this game, ceph, reminds me almost exactly as the rankbaus NY game I wish I could forget.

I can't speak for everyone else, but my team chose specifically to offer from the team that didn't get in for replacements before anyone else. I highly doubt that's the case for most teams, but eh.

Read the slot as town for what it's done in the game itself. Not for that.

Who has very little pride. His scumgame is one of those very few things he does value. Especially against me (long story), scum-him doubles down and goes tryhard, not the meek and weak we got instead. I can link the specific games that show this if needed.

Slept on it. Pretty sure copper is scum. I'll lay out the full reasons why after Easter dinner but the TL;DR is there's no actual thoughts behind his posts nor his pushes, and his back-off of me was likely pre-meditated. It certainly doesn't look organic.

Just because I don't have the time I used to have (moving and living with somebody does that) doesn't mean I'm lurking.

Here's why copper is scum:

He goes for an early townread on me. He does this against the grain (reck) while not actively hardpushing cabdtown.

Then he slowly starts to work his way towards "lurky cabd scum" because of meta. (I'll get back to meta in a moment)

Then when I show up, he immediately reverses course and town reads me.

Here's the thing. This slow fade on, off, on to gain acceptance is what he did as scum to me in a newbie I replaced into.

Given the speed and the lack of reasoning, the back off of "cabd is scum" was pre-meditated. Town does not per-meditate a read change unless gambit, and copper's not the gambit type.

I thought this was obviously my reasoning based on my prior post but I guess not.

Here's the other reason this doesn't work: Copper is also a meta guy, right? So why would he cite meta as "towncabd not lurk" when "lurk" has been my quote unquote default state ever since I moved to Chicago (5 months ago now!) and that happens in both towngames AND scumgames he's been in with me?

My role specifies placing "what would be L-1 for that player" not just "L-1" as a "you can't move a vote to that wagon"

Just the role as mentioned, I didn't expect to be so absent/sick that I had to show it just as a show of good faith to get people less jump-down-throaty.
