Plausible just read the newbie queue thread and saw but I couldn't see any where in this thread to suggest that these 2 were replaced.

complaining about early TRs is what pinged me first, big newbscum vibes. then she threw an awkward townlean down on VFP only to walk it back immediately after Meuh called their content NAI. she didn't react to any of VFP's new posts in between, she changed her read based solely on what Meuh said, and I don't mean in a "well you've convinced me!" way, I mean in an appeasing way. also worth noting that symbi had both the loudest voices as her original townleans. changing her reads on a whim, throwing unsubstantiated early townreads on the 2 loudest players and no real reads anywhere else, and then also sheeping meuh's weuler read all looks very very much to me like newbscum pocketing and trying to gain an advantageous position.

Is there any point in killing a mason who has said who town is? I have not played any mafia games on other sites involving masons, so I'm not really sure what the usual strategy is.

a live mason with a dead partner is confirmed town. the reason scum wants conftown dead is 1) they narrow the execution pool and 2) they provide a trustable voice for the town, potentially a townleader depending on the player, or at the very least someone other townies can bounce ideas off who they know isn't trying to deceive them.

I'm proposing we allow the partner to remain hidden for now, since we're in an excellent position coming into today already. if we miselim today it means we go into tomorrow having spent possible an entire day of play being wrong about the gamestate. that seems to me like a better time to call on the voice of a mod-confirmed town. the risk is of course that scum figures out the partner anyway and kills them before their role makes a significant impact on the game, but that doesn't leave us in any sort of bad position really. if we get a reveal today, they won't make as big an impact as they would later in the game anyway, and scum likely kills them tonight.

ultimately tho it's up to that person when they choose to reveal themselves.

Just to clarify some things: On 253 i was asked how i townread wheme for the same reasons as T3. If you look in the post it said "mostly same reasons".

I just like that wheme had a good read on that scum and acted on it early on.

As for why i dont like kris:

1-Besides myself, they were the only ones to not vote scum (and my predecessor was AFK apparently).
2-They barely post, like at all and dont add anything to the game when posting.

1. a lot to unpack here, whew. first of all let's dispel some false premises; your first predecessor Symbiosis has more posts than anyone still alive in the game besides me. second of all, letting voting record dictate seemingly 100% of the reasoning behind your reads is poor play, especially only on D2. there can only ever be half of the living players on any given wagon, so to ascribe someone a scumread simply for not being present on a scumwagon is a huge fallacy (not to mention the fact that your statement isn't even true—I never voted meuh). on the flip side, you're dishing out easy townreads simply for voting scum as if it's not the easiest thing in the world for mafia to hop on their partner's wagon, especially when they're under heat. you're not even paying attention to the context of the votes themselves either, as evidenced by your made up whemestar read, there's not a shred of nuance to it just voting scum=town.

2. Kris has a far far more substantial body of posts than, say, the AliceK/Pear slot, so this cannot be your genuine reason for having her so low.

also if you know from your POV that you're town and believe your slot was AFK up to this point, why do you automatically assume inactivity to be scummy? shouldn't we be voting for your slot by your very own scumhunting logic?

You asking for people's thoughts about outing the mason is very clearly indirectly calling for the mason to out. You can try to play dumb, but given your level of experience in the game, town!you would know that.

T3, I will say you did a good job of dodging the NK. I was confident The Bulge wasn't the mason, so I thought it was Weuler. If I was scum in that situation, I probably would have made the same shot.

I knew T3 was mason, VFP made it overwhelmingly obvious (so much that at first I hesitated, thinking they might be trying protect their real partner by pretending to be paired with someone else, which would make sense along with VFP's kamikaze strat) and T3 himself slipped a handful of times. I left him alive intentionally because I knew he would never vote me.
