why is that noteworthy when weuler himself was the other replacement? In post 43, VFP wrote:Weuler responded okay imo. However, what is of note is that Weuler was aware of Buldge being a replace in and this is what I was.going for on my comment.
Plausible just read the newbie queue thread and saw but I couldn't see any where in this thread to suggest that these 2 were replaced.
But then again I'm pretty oblivious to things like that.
It makes it NAI.
If it was from someone who joined from the start I'd be more obliged to push it.
As it stands I'm okay with voting my town read!
the cool shades smiley negates any pressure here, I'm afraid. In post 46, Meuh wrote:VOTE:The Bulge

complaining about early TRs is what pinged me first, big newbscum vibes. then she threw an awkward townlean down on VFP only to walk it back immediately after Meuh called their content NAI. she didn't react to any of VFP's new posts in between, she changed her read based solely on what Meuh said, and I don't mean in a "well you've convinced me!" way, I mean in an appeasing way. also worth noting that symbi had both the loudest voices as her original townleans. changing her reads on a whim, throwing unsubstantiated early townreads on the 2 loudest players and no real reads anywhere else, and then also sheeping meuh's weuler read all looks very very much to me like newbscum pocketing and trying to gain an advantageous position.

no, but I think it's odd that you didn't give any kind of room for those kinds of assumptionsIn post 70, VFP wrote:
I don't think the mod said to you or weuler "hey, this person is also replacing".In post 61, The Bulge wrote:why is that noteworthy when weuler himself was the other replacement?
like, it's not natural to assume first that 'something is off' because Weuler was aware of the replacements. the far far easier assumption is that he simply saw the post because it also concerns him.-

holy hell slow down lmaoThe Bulge (//M)
I was expecting more than this from an SE slot, could just be a playstyle thing but The Bulge fails to deliver any reads and proceeds to vote one of my townreads If they don't start doing more I think they could always work as today's elim since we won't be losing much regardless, I really don't wanna see The Bulge in like, an endgame scenario, that sounds awful

I see where VFP is coming from vs Meuh even if the logic has some holes, but I don't know what slip they're talking about. I think they probably do believe they've found something tho, regardless of either of their alignments. VFP either thinks they've found scum or is scum who thinks they've found something solid to push. but it doesn't sound contrived so I'm curious to hear about this slip-

It's a scum slip. I will always trade for a day1 scum find.
And we got scum here! Let's go!resultsbefore outting. an innocent result can be just as powerful as a guilty. multiple innocents can be game-winning. instead you threw that all away for a dumbass vanity wagon. you either die tonight or are roleblocked until the doc is dead so your slot is entirely useless. Meuh could flip Mafia Doctor-roleblocker-godfather and it's still a shit play 100 times out of 100 to out yourself here like that. Cop is one of the strongest PRs in the game of mafia and you've killed our cop D1 simply because you couldnt make a strong enough argument on its own to rally votes against your scumread. if meuh is town the game is lost already. if meuh is scum we could have easily hit there without you trying to confirm yourself, and then we could have used your results in future days to find the buddy. it was a 0 IQ play and you need to get over yourself.-

a live mason with a dead partner is confirmed town. the reason scum wants conftown dead is 1) they narrow the execution pool and 2) they provide a trustable voice for the town, potentially a townleader depending on the player, or at the very least someone other townies can bounce ideas off who they know isn't trying to deceive them.In post 218, Weuler wrote:Is there any point in killing a mason who has said who town is? I have not played any mafia games on other sites involving masons, so I'm not really sure what the usual strategy is.
I'm proposing we allow the partner to remain hidden for now, since we're in an excellent position coming into today already. if we miselim today it means we go into tomorrow having spent possible an entire day of play being wrong about the gamestate. that seems to me like a better time to call on the voice of a mod-confirmed town. the risk is of course that scum figures out the partner anyway and kills them before their role makes a significant impact on the game, but that doesn't leave us in any sort of bad position really. if we get a reveal today, they won't make as big an impact as they would later in the game anyway, and scum likely kills them tonight.
ultimately tho it's up to that person when they choose to reveal themselves.-

can you also elaborate on your kris read? "they never voted the scum" is a terrible way to form reads, and I don't see anything else you wrote here that justifies kris being in her own tier at the bottom? In post 253, The Bulge wrote:Dum can you explain your wheme read for me? you said you townread him for the same reasons as t3, but you townread t3 for his hammer? here is where wheme voted meuh. he never once mentions his read of the slot, and it was the second to last vote on the wagon. In post 257, Dum wrote:Hey there.
Just to clarify some things: On 253 i was asked how i townread wheme for the same reasons as T3. If you look in the post it said "mostly same reasons".I just like that wheme had a good read on that scum and acted on it early on.wanna try that one again?
1. a lot to unpack here, whew. first of all let's dispel some false premises; your first predecessor Symbiosis has more posts than anyone still alive in the game besides me. second of all, letting voting record dictate seemingly 100% of the reasoning behind your reads is poor play, especially only on D2. there can only ever be half of the living players on any given wagon, so to ascribe someone a scumread simply for not being present on a scumwagon is a huge fallacy (not to mention the fact that your statement isn't even true—I never voted meuh). on the flip side, you're dishing out easy townreads simply for voting scum as if it's not the easiest thing in the world for mafia to hop on their partner's wagon, especially when they're under heat. you're not even paying attention to the context of the votes themselves either, as evidenced by your made up whemestar read, there's not a shred of nuance to it just voting scum=town.Dum wrote:As for why i dont like kris:
1-Besides myself, they were the only ones to not vote scum (and my predecessor was AFK apparently).
2-They barely post, like at all and dont add anything to the game when posting.
2. Kris has a far far more substantial body of posts than, say, the AliceK/Pear slot, so this cannot be your genuine reason for having her so low.
also if you know from your POV that you're town and believe your slot was AFK up to this point, why do you automatically assume inactivity to be scummy? shouldn't we be voting for your slot by your very own scumhunting logic?-

this is my alice case. open her ISO and you will find a whole lot of active uselessness. it's one thing to not contribute a lot in a game, that doesn't necessarily have to be a scum trait, but to keep up appearances the way she has looks to me like nervous newbscum who feels up the river without a paddle after losing their buddy d1.In post 309, The Bulge wrote:yea idk about a slip but Alice has contributed literally nothing all game and continues to obstinately do so when prompted for her thoughts-

not in the slightest. that post is - at a very surface level - a trap, reaction test, whatever you want to call it. but you're just completely ignoring the obvious town motivation to ask an open question like that.In post 381, Seanzie wrote:
