since he started to do that and didn't post anything that seemed scummy I unvoted him

I don't like nacho's reasoning for that vote, a minor suspicion right at the start of the game seemed pretty meaningless since it was likely you just trying to move the game along, I honestly don't know if voting for the replacement helps the game, so I withheld my vote.

I'm wary of doing an OMGUS vote right now so I'm going to come back later after I've thought about it a bit more

I've reviewed it and although I feel like I should keep Nacho on my radar the Godfather seems much more scummy

He outright refuses to look for scum and seems to do everything in his power to make sure the game does not move forward, including denouncing the people who do move the game along as stupid.

Once people started questioning he panicked and has now decided he wants to leave the game

Furthermore the original guy with the role didn't even want to play

No, I'm still looking at what Nacho does but I am going to leave my vote on Godfather unless something unexpected happens or in the next few days godfather changes up his playstyle

He's not asking questions to provoke people in to slipping up, he's not using his vote to provoke people in to slipping up

We got to a point in the game on page 4 where everyone was questioning him and putting the pressure on him; go and take a look.
He then says

and the reasonable conclusion is that he didn't like all the pressure on him and wanted to leave the game

If you're new to the game I think it's harder to play scum because you don't know how to properly deceive people; if you're town you can just be open since you have nothing to hide. So when the guy got scum he decided to not play in the game.

That's just how I see it though, you can interpret it however you want

I simply came to the same conclusion as you with Godfather, I have plenty of arguments in my posts against him that aren't present in yours

I also told Nacho I didn't like his play but it was more of a get the ball rolling thing so I held back on voting because there was no real reason to bandwagon on him.

How I saw it and still somewhat do is like this...
Kid A, make cubesnail slip-up. Then if you were me you wouldn't know what to do. I now sorta get it that you have to pressure someone like I said before a "reaction test" but I didn't know they were related.

I've read this thread a few times now, and I have to say this is much harder than IRL. No one is suspicious to me, except for the Godfather. Not because of what the Godfather posted him/herself, but this post made me think though:

I'm probably overreacting to this, but my first thought was that poohbear was Mafia.

And I assume the Godfather got the same role as poohbear did?

It was not the vote, but it was the "hope i don't lose" part. I assumed once I read it that he was Mafia, and he hoped he would not screw this up so he/Mafia lost. But I as stated in my previous post, I probably overreacted to that anyway.

Even though I'm suspicious against the Godfather, I don't feel like voting at the moment. I feel I need more information and time before placing a potential vote.

Here we have another post of anorway doing nothing, he's suspicious about the godfather but he doesn't volunteer why, he's still not done anything other than saying that someone might possibly be a scum

I'm atm leaning towards the Godfather and Kid A. I'm not ruling out that one of the more experienced players could be scum too, since they likely are able to "pull it off" as Mafia, even though I'm quite sure that Cheery Dog and buldesmar are town. I'm undecided about the rest.

and that is every single post anorway has made in the thread except for the pregame stuff

I will agree they are not great arguments, however I don't think those are the only reasons I gave which you didn't; I also talked about him saying it was a stupid start which I didn't like and I showed why his logic didn't make sense in #137, which I feel is a big scumtell because scum do have to come up with reasoning that doesn't quite make sense sometimes to justify themselves whereas town would usually think more and wouldn't post things that don't really make sense because they aren't in so much danger

I've never played mafia on this site before and didn't know that having the chat in the pregame was not something you did always

I've played werewolf on other forums before and they always let you talk in the pregame so I just assumed it was the standard thing

firstly this was weird

secondly a few posts later he decided anorway was "second pick for scum"
(when I asked him about this he didn't even justify it he just said something to the effect of "I keep rereading the thread"

I can probably find more if you want but his playstyle is basically that he casts random aspersions and hopes someone else agrees with him.
