now that you are all here and just as lucky as me to be in this best of all possible games, I am so excited and looking forward to having a breathtakingly fabulous time together. I could just rollick and frolic, that's how uncontrollably satisfied I am already to have the chance to share this heartfelt sense of deep titillation with every one of you formidable guys. There will be so much fun. I must sigh because there already is so much delightful enjoyment, everything is just buzzing with so much positive energy, we should start immediately to celebrate this unbelievably fortunate state of affairs.

General

Enforcement

• If you consider it sufficient to follow these rules by the letter, I will be madly delighted to teach you to follow them by the spirit instead.
  
• Rules may change to ensure every one's happiness. I will delightedly inform you if I deem any changes necessary.
  
• If you try to make me unhappy, anything from a fair warning to a very sudden and wonderfully violent death may happen to you.
  
• If in addition you try to make the site mods unhappy, I will happily have them do the same to you on a site-wide basis.

Gameplay

• Game days will last 2 weeks (14 days) or until a lynch majority is reached.
  
• if no lynch majority is reached, no lynch will occur
  
• Votes and unvotes must be
  bolded
  or use the VOTE: /UNVOTE: -tags and and be
  in a separate line
  to be valid.
  
• Night deadlines will be two days, or more, depending on factors such as players being on V/LA.
  
• Votes issued after the deadline or a lynch majority is reached as well as night actions submitted after the deadline will be discouted.
  
• If you do not post, you will be prodded (usually after 72h of inactivity), if I decide that your contribution to this game are lacking, I will give some one else the chance to make more off your slot.

• The Setup is Matrix 6, the rows and lines of the following matrix, complemented by mafia goons and vanilla townies to make it 2/7, represent the 6 possible setups, one of which has been selected at random.

Hello team!

So I've played a few IRL games of mafia at parties, nothing serious and never thought much about it. I was looking at the teamliquid boards last week and noticed they had a mafia forum. This seemed interesting to me, since most of the ways you catch people in face-to-face mafia (body language, in-the-moment pressure) don't exist in a forum game. I followed a link to the mafia wiki and then to these forums. I decided to check out a recently finished game to see what it was all about and read Newbie 1436.

And it was awesome! If you haven't you should check out that game, I got totally hooked on the intrigue and second-guessing and emotions, and it came down to the absolute wire. (btw goodmorning was in that game!) It was fun to read and seemed like it would be even more fun to play.

So I made an account and signed up, and here I am!

Hello! I'll do the same as emeraldemon and write a post about how I found the site. Games about deception have always been interesting to me, and I've played a bit of Mafia IRL. I found the site from Wikipedia, and it looked like fun. I signed up and got into a game. Then I wrote a post about how I found out about the site. Then I got lynched Day 1. Wait, we're not at that part yet, never mind.
Fun fact: That paragraph used to be about three times as long with no more information. You're welcome for cutting it down.
