NG 1479: Somebody's Gonna Die! (OVER!)

A small but deadly criminal organization is terrorizing your innocent village (home of small, mostly defenseless newbies), and it's up to the nine of you to figure out whodunnit, before there's none of you left except those whodunnit.

Spoiler: Players/Results

SETUPThis game uses the 9-player setup called Matrix6. One row or one column will be randomly chosen from the table below and the remaining six roles will be filled in by 1 Mafia Goon and 5 Vanilla Townies, for a total of 2 Mafia-aligned players and 7 Town-aligned players.

Please note:

The Mafia must specify who is performing what Night Action when the actions are submitted.
If they should target each other, the Roleblocker's action will resolve before the Jailkeeper's action, thus preventing the Jailkeep.
A Mafia Roleblocker has the option of performing both their Roleblock and the Mafia Kill, even if the Mafia Goon is still alive. This is relatively non-standard in larger games, where power tends to be more distributed.

Rules:

Votes must be in bold for them to count, like this:
Vote: mith

A simple majority of votes (1/2 the number of living players plus one, rounded down) will achieve a lynch and end the Day. Unvoting after that point will not save someone's life. If deadline is reached (two weeks max) with no regular lynch, the required number of votes

be lowered; I will explain exactly how if we reach that situation.
* This rule originally said "will be lowered"; in most situations, I no longer lower deadline thresholds for Newbie Games.
Nights will last up to 60 hours, but may be shorter if all night choices are in before the deadline. Nights will never be less than 24 hours.

Hey guys. This is my first newbie game as an IC. It's my job to be here to field your questions, play well and make sure you guys have a great experience on this wonderful.

So a couple of little rules I'd like to impose.
1. If you don't know, ask. I will answer questions on theory as best I can. Of course I'm playing to win and I can be scum (totes not) but that shouldn't get in my way of being helpful.
2. Don't self vote. Just don't do it. You might not see a way out and not want to hold back the town, still don't self vote. I did it when I was a newbie and it ruins games. The trick here is that making someone have to hammer you gives the town more info than if you vote.
3. Have fun. This site is awesome, and you can help keep it that way.

As for reading that you can do. The wiki is a brilliant resource that has so much info for everyone. Take it all with a grain of salt and find what works for you. I could link to articles that work for me but everyone plays different, so just explore.

And Espe's number 1 tip. Using a tell to call someone scum is all well and good except that everyone drops them, finding out the mentality and motivation behind it that shows the real scum.

Played for quite a while. I played for a couple of years before coming to MS. I recently took most of a year off so I'm only starting to get back into the groove of it.
