lalaladucks' ducks is only on the username, I know she had a duck as an avatar the first few months she was on the site but it isn't really associated with her anymore beyond that.

I didn't know that title was based partly on an avatar until this very post. what's the story behind it?

I would like to nominate
Drench
for
the crucial vote
or another voting-related title.
I think Drench is well known for his love of anything voting-related, be it politics, the systems themselves, or silly internet games where we constantly backstab eachother. in particular in crucial waukesha county, which is cleverly incorporated into the current nomination.
however, I am garbage at thinking up actual titles so other suggestions would be welcome
In post 140, Alchemist21 wrote:It feels like people are trying to give Drench a title for the sake of giving them a title. All these ideas come off as forced to me.
I can see that, like I said I am not the greatest at thinking up titles. but I feel like Drench's infatuation with voting is solid enough for a title.
In post 139, xRECKONERx wrote:also drench's overuse of !!!!!!!!! and ........... might play into the title somehow
I don’t think this is as iconic as the voting angle but I agree that a voting-based title would be really good and there’s a lot of stuff to work with.
I’d nth both Crucial Vote and Crucial Waukesha County but also I’d hope we can come up with more (possibly better) titles along the same vein.
On another note, Quality Assurance is a great title in itself but it seems pretty generic, IDK if it works perfectly for Elbirn.
I don't like Quality Assurance, because of its association with Meme Police and Elbirn has already rejected titles of the sort.
re:DRK, I see that point as well, that's why in my initial nomination I added "crucial" as a nod, however I think reck's suggestion can work too. of course there might be a better title out there, that's why I brought it up for discussion. also perfect is the enemy of good etc.

I think you're overselling this
title is fine... it's fine. I'm not nthing it but it's fine I probably wouldn't be too upset like I probably wouldn't be writing up a formal complaint but maybe deep inside I'd think of "what could have been" for the title like "Survivor" or whatever

the part of the MS community that participates in survivor is definitely not unsubstantial

the person who i thought was katsuki who was at the meet was most definitely not female, and from their posts in the trans thread, i do not get the impression they are trans.
the person I am thinking if is most definitely a straight cis oriental-backgrounded individual.

here is a serious nomination:
I want to nominate CaptainMeme for
Banana Split
captainmeme has shown an affinity for splitting the vote in survivor games. he managed to orchestrate a 6-6-6-6 split in the challenge: the void and in super survivor bros. he managed to split the vote not once, but twice, in the premerge, on the same tribe. for the record: the vote rarely gets split during the premerge in a normal survivor game. the "banana" part of the title is in reference to donkey kong, a memorable character he played in that game, and mafiascum loves puns etc.

you'd still have a title fairy around (someone who, y'know, is actually active and participates) to ensure that, like, titles intended to insult the person who has the title are immediately knocked down, and there'd still be the option to just nominate someone directly when a really truly perfect title reveals itself, but this system would ensure that people who deserve titles actually get them. people will whine about how a few titles get through that don't perfectly encapsulate all aspects of a person's personality, but those people are boring and wrong.
I would take this burden upon myself,,,
but maybe there are too few people for there to be two week periods
