do it in thread so that you can celebrate achievements that would otherwise only get recognized in
like a year
by the scummies committee
if
you're lucky

if it's not something you'd be okay saying publicly, it's not something you should submit as part of a google form...

the anti-nom form shouldn't be a space to demean other people behind their backs; it should be as public as anything else

nono
people just would like nominations to be made available for public view somewhere
it would make the whole process a bit more satisfying for the nominating and the nominators, i think

traditionally, nominations have been about more than just hyping up an eventual ceremony
it's been the main way the community recognizes and spreads the word about what makes it great

does an mvp award in every major team sport cause the sports to be seen as individual games..?

ok but don't make that call for everyone
if you find it too troublesome to write for the ceremony, just stop and leave it to people who don't

that's beside my point
im saying that you shouldn't make the call for everyone else about whether the ceremony should stop being held just because you no longer want to be involved in making it

i don't want to project and i might be wrong, but you seem to think that if you stopped writing for the scummies, then there would be no ir less writing for the scummies
but in reality, more people would step up to fill the gap; they would work harder simply because there would be more work to do
the thing is that people just don't really
see
a gap present until several weeks after a ceremony was supposed to be held
in a sense, your legacy as someone who ends up doing everything sort of enables this lack of industry from the community at large
i also think your grip on the writing process makes every else involved sort of more passive/reactive when it comes to producing content, turning them into people who have to be instructed and prodded, but i think that's another thing
it's not because it's
you
that this has happened — it's just the role your legacy has created for you
id probably be more interested in the whole thing if i were some sort of sociologist

i can understand why you wouldn't let me run the whole thing
especially when so many people are volunteering to be team players
its basically just a running joke for me now
until......?!
