The year 2043 seemed to have a lot to offer, but times are difficult when you can't take the skycar to work without fear of being thrown from its heights into the sprawling streets below. Vicious gangs ruled in Metropolis until the arrival of the Trifecta, a small but precise group of villainous tacticians. The price for organized crime tripled overnight with their arrival, and in the wake of their success, the Metropolis government completely folded under pressure. Law enforcement is at an all-time low, leaving common cityfolk to fend for themselves, hoping that few-and-far-between vigilantes will take up the abandoned mantle of providing protection for the innocent.

As if that wasn't all, the terror which already reigned the streets was augmented tenfold by the untimely appearance of the Evil Angel, who quickly became known as the very harbinger of death. An entire city block of skyscrapers was found burning, dark flames emblazoning a sinister emblem across the upper third of the buildings; the announcement of the judgement to come upon the citizens of Metropolis.

Your task, citizen of Metropolis, is to put an end to this trend of violence and lawlessness, by searching out the nefarious Trifecta in their own lair, the gigantic city of Metropolis. Once you find them, deal with them as only the righteous bringers of justice can. You must do this all while avoiding the terrible judgement of the Evil Angel. Can you survive?

1. Make sure to follow the sitewide rules, too.
   
2. Play to fulfill your win condition, as specified in your Role PM.
   
3. Each Day will last ~16 days; each Night will last ~48 hours. This may vary somewhat; probably not.
   
4. Votes must be
   bolded
   and at the start of a line. Unvotes are not required to change your vote.
   
5. Lynching requires a majority vote. If a majority is not reached before deadline, the Day will end without a lynch.
   
6. When a majority is reached, Twilight begins. All players are allowed to post during Twilight, even the lynchee.
   
7. One "Bah" post is allowed. Do not post anything that could be construed as game related information.
   
8. Do not communicate outside this thread without permission. You will be told if you are an exception to this rule.
   
9. Do not quote any mod communication, or anything which originated outside of the game thread.
   
10. Caps lock (or the appearance thereof) can and will get you modkilled or force-replaced. Do not test me.
    
11. Do not edit or delete your posts, if you have access to do so.
    
12. Do not post in sizes smaller than the default, encrypt anything in your posts, or post in colors other than the default.
    
13. Prods occur after 72 hours without a post. After another 48 hours, a second prod is issued.

1852HRS - THE CALM BEFORE THE STORM

An upstanding member of the Metropolis City Council for many years, the recently elected Mayor Daniel McCullough strode confidently from the Council chambers. His mind remained sharp and alert in the aftermath of the assemblage that had concluded only a few moments before. He smiled to know that he had successfully passed a resolution to increase police presence on the streets of Metropolis: specifically in sectors heavily affected by the unprecedented upsurge of crime in recent weeks.

At the subsequent media round table, a veritable plethora of questions had been posed both to his cabinet members and himself, many of which had been challenging to formulate satisfactory responses to. Notwithstanding, his cabinet members had conducted themselves quite well. McCullough recalled with distinct pleasure the admirable coolness with which they'd handled the interminable press segment. He'd chosen his people well, and it showed.

Even so, as he walked toward the row of elevators, he cleared his throat quietly in relief that it was all over—for now. With his mind wandering over some of the more essential bullet points of the ambitious proposal, he pressed the creme-colored button that would call the elevator cab to his level. A whirring sound was heard, and thirty seconds later a soft ding signaled the opening doors.

During the lengthy ride up to his office, McCullough mulled over the projected effects of the proposed law enforcement surge. Surely the next few weeks would see a marked improvement; the ultimate goal was a complete reversal of the upward trend of crime and disorder which had recently rocked the city's main boroughs. He absentmindedly esteemed the problem as only able to affecting those below his social and political status; certainly his own family could not be affected by this new standard of dereliction, at the very least not nearly as personally as the lower-class denizens of Metropolis.

Back at his office, Mayor Daniel McCullough filed a few documents on his desk into the top drawer, packed a few personal effects into his patent-leather briefcase, and donned his home team baseball cap. His office quarters were on the 143d floor of one of the most intimidating high-rises in Metropolis; looking out his plate glass window at the sunset, he reveled in that fact immensely.

I will end the vogue of misconduct in this city...

He reflected on that statement for a time, then nodded to himself. As he turned to leave his office, he flicked off the lights.

Minutes later, he embarked the Skyrail transit coach destined for the adjacent parking structure. He checked his watch hoping, despite the day running long, that he would yet be in time for his wife's home-cooked dinner. But as he looked down at the golden hands—a sharp blow to the back of his head. Vision suddenly swimming, he faltered. Presently, warmth trickled down the back of his neck. Dazedly, he reeled around, eyes searching for his attacker. He was greeted by the warm, yet calmly evil smile of the

McCullough's pupils constricted as he caught sight of a weapon. The loud report of the Kalashnikov rang out in the evening air. Lurching back, the mayor's body crashed through a window, shattering the polyglass outward.

He fell without a scream; a lifeless rag doll tossed into the clouds below.

Actually, if you read up on my latest games (since the return from leaving the site), I've been a lot better about it. A bunch of players have noticed too.

SitMOAII - My mafia partners were killed N1 and D2 because of their stupidity. I managed to last until there were 5 players left (D7 I think).
Super Mario RPG - The game had had three modkills due to inactivity and it was seriously lacking in participation. I came in and practically injected the game with activity (if you ask mod Bowser) and many scumreads. I actually ended up getting NK'd because I was the most protown there. And they lynched my scumread and town won. I was doctor.

I think as the quantity of games I'm playing in grows, my quality of play diminishes so I'm keeping a cap on my games. Anyway, hope my poor meta doesn't influence this game!
