Rules

General

A Friendly Reminder!

- All site-wide rules and guidelines apply, and the game rules outlined here assume that you are familiar with the site-wide rules.

Deadlines

- Day phase will have a deadline of 14 days, and Night phase will have a deadline of 48 hours. Deadline extensions will be granted only in extreme circumstances. Actions not received by deadline will be counted as "No Action." Actions may be submitted ahead of time and can be changed as many times as desired; at deadline, the last valid action that was submitted will be used. Actions may be submitted via PM or private topic.

Lynching

- Lynches occur through simple majority (i.e., 50% of living players + 1, rounded down). If no majority is reached at deadline or there is a majority of votes for No Lynch, Day will end without a lynch. Once majority is reached, no further votes or unvotes will count. All players, including the lynched player, are allowed to talk in twilight phase until the thread is locked, at which point Day ends.

Voting

- Votes and vote revocations must be bolded. Unvotes are preferred but not necessary when switching votes. Use of the vote tags is optional. Votes placed by accounts not present in the game will not be counted. Vote tricks will not be tolerated, and any judgment passed over the validity of any ambiguous votes is final. I wouldn't recommend playing with this because I may be a jerk!

Lurkers Beware!

- Prods will be issued to players if they have not posted within a 48-hour period. Players who have been prodded have 24 hours to respond in the game thread before a replacement is sought. For purposes of activity, Saturday and Sunday will be considered a 24-hour period.

Don't Suck

- Dead players and spectators may not post in the game until the game has officially been declared over. Do not attempt to impersonate the moderator. Do not do anything that may be considered questionable, even if you do not consider it to be such. Attempts to abuse technicalities in the rules will be considered rule violations.

The Afterlife

- There is a graveyard topic available for dead players and spectators. Any living player who wishes to send a message to this topic may send it to me in a PM, and it will be passed on.

- Please contact me if you need clarification in anything in the rules or if you'd like to check if something you want to post is okay. For minor questions or vote count errors, bold your concern in the thread. For all other issues, PM me.

Change of the Guard

The famous Chicago to New York continental express, the Flying Pussyfoot. Not much seen these days that's quite like her. And you know what? If I'm honest, I'm gonna miss her. Today's my last trip and boy it's been a long time coming. These last few years, I just haven't had the same joy of climbing aboard a locomotive. It just tires you out, y'know? I'm just ready to move on to a quieter life and leave the noise of the city and the rails behind me. I'm ready to let it all go and see it shift into the hands of a younger generation.

"Hey there Tony!"

I smile. My young assistant relieves me. He knows what he's doing when it comes to conducting. It gives me hope for the future, that my train will hopefully be going into a capable set of hands like his. I talk for a little bit with him and a new conductor who I'm meeting for the first time today. He seems alright enough, if a little obnoxious. He came at the insistence of some higher ups in the company I've been working for and it was all really rather strange. I'd never been told who I was going to work with, as it was usually something that I got to decide as the Head Conductor. Despite my concerns, it seemed like everything about him checked out, so I just sighed and agreed. I think a few years ago I would have told them that it was my train and I was going to run it how I wanted to, with the people that I wanted to! But at the same time, am I really going to kick up a fuss like that on my last trip?

Not worth the noise.

I send the two of them off to finish getting the Pussyfoot ready to go, and as I start to climb aboard the front of the train I hear a pair muttering to each other behind me.

"Are you sure this is a good idea? What if someone knows that we're not supposed to be on here?"

"Well, what choice do we have? We need to do this and quickly."

This sounds like trouble..

I thought to myself. It sounded like a few stowaways were looking to find a place to jump on board. Just as I was about to turn around and give them a piece of my mind, someone grabbed me from behind..

If the flavour seems reasonable, we consider not lynching you nearly as soon.
If flavour does not seem reasonable, we do consider lynching you sooner than later.

It's nice to have a bulletproof, but it is also an easy way to reason your way to lylo if scum.

If we have a cop/flavour cop, you'd be a decent N1 target. If we have no flavour, the latter isn't as helpful.
