1) Starting and Ending States: All roles that can communicate at night may do during pregame. The game will end when one faction has fulfilled its win condition, unless otherwise specified. 2) Day Procedures: Each player may discuss the game and cast a single vote at a time against people they want to lynch. Day ends when either the deadline hits or a strict majority of the votes are on one person. 3a) Voting: Votes should be in bold in order for them to count, for instance: Vote: xRECKONERx. You may also use the [vote] tags if you desire. If you wish to vote for a different player, you don't need to unvote. As long as I can tell who you're voting for, I don't care if you abbreviate someone's name when you vote them. 3b) Voting Formatting: We are using an automatic vote counter this game. Put a colon (:) after the word "Vote". The vote counter will miss it if you don't. Also, use full usernames or at least something very close. The vote counter will attempt to match an attempted vote with a playername and find the closest match, but if it's too far off, it won't count it. Any attempt to flagrantly violate this rule to gain an advantage or fake-hammer will result in a modkill. 4) No Lynch: As an alternative to voting for someone, you may Vote: No Lynch, but for it to take effect, enough players must vote No Lynch that it would be impossible to form any other majority. 5) Deadlines: Each gameday will have a deadline of two weeks, unless I decide game issues have caused the need for an extension. I will try to keep a deadline warning in every vote count, but if I don't, it's your job to check the day start post to keep track of the deadline. 6) Mass Inactivity: In an act of pure villainy, I may shorten the deadline if I deem the activity level is unsatisfactory. You will be warned if I want you fellows to pick up the pace before I shorten the deadline. 7) Deadline Lynches: If no single player has enough votes for a lynch at the deadline, the result is No Lynch and the game proceeds to Night. Deadlines are there for a reason.
8) Twilight: After someone receives the majority vote, everyone may still discuss the game, but votes and unvotes will not be considered - the person voted for by the majority will be lynched regardless. Twilight will last until I waltz in and post a death scene (which can be quite short, but never really long). 9) Night Length and Procedures: The topic will be locked at Night. If your Role PM specifies that you have a Night Action, you may follow the instructions on that PM to use it. Barring extenuating circumstances, nights will not last longer than 3 RL days. 9b) Accelerated Nights: If every living player PMs me at night and says they wish to accelerate the night phase, I will end night phase upon receiving all actions instead of the typical 72 hour deadline. 10) Night Action Resubmission: If you have to PM a choice to the mod (i.e. the name of someone you want to kill/protect/investigate), you may change your choice at any time during the Night by sending The Mod another PM with the new choice. The most recent choice will be honored when night ends. 11) Night Action Priority: This game will use natural action resolution, unless otherwise stated by the mod. Specific questions about night action resolution will be referred back to this post.
12) Bolding Stuff:Bolding something is how you get the mod to notice it. It's that simple. 13) Mod Color: If the mod needs to edit your post, it will be done in bolded, green font. Don't impersonate me, or I'll cut off your thumbs and feed them to you. 14) Activity, Prods, and Replacements: You will be prodded if three days have passed since your last post. If I check in and you had, say, 80 hours of inactivity but you've since posted, you will not be issued a prod... but I check in pretty frequently. If you are prodded three times or do not respond to a prod within 24 hours (meaning posting in thread), you will be replaced (and probably blacklisted). 14b) Vacation / Limited Access: Real life comes up and mafia games take a long time. If you're going to be inactive for an extended amount of time, feel free to post a V/LA in thread. However, in order for the V/LA to be recognized, please be sure to set your inactivity in your UCP (User Control Panel -> Vacation / Limited Access tab) as prods/activity checks are done from the Activity Overview. 15) Hydra requirements: Usually, hydras are banned from my games. If they are allowed, I do not tolerate excessive account slipping. There's no hard and fast number or ratio on this, but don't be surprised if you get force-replaced if you can't seem to ever post from the right account. 16) "Bah!" Posts: If your player slot is killed off, it's probably because people don't want you around. Unless your role specifically states you can keep talking/voting/playing Monopoly with me, you are allowed one informationless "bah" post and then scram til endgame. Special mechanics can, of course, overlap. 17) Outside Discussion: Don't discuss this game outside of this thread with anyone unless your Role PM lets you do otherwise. 18) Post Editing: Editing or deleting posts is not allowed (and usually not possible). Doublepost with your changes instead. I will modkill for a single abuse of this rule. 19a) Mod and PM quoting: For role PMs, If you quote it, you will be modkilled. You can send me the reformulation (I'm pretty loose with reformulation) and I will tell you if posting it is allowed or if it needs further modifications. If you quote a PM from me, you will be terminated (barring questions about rules or something). I would advise avoiding discussion related to role PM wording as that's a quick way for a flurry of modkills to hit the game. 19b) QTs and Private Communication: If it is a moderator provided method of communication (i.e., neighbor QT, or masons who use AIM) do not quote it in the thread. Obviously, do not provide links to the QT in any way shape or form. 20) Modkills: Breaking any of the above rules will result in you getting modkilled. Modkills can be retroactive. If a living player breaks any of these rules, the day may or may not end, depending on what would disadvantage that player's faction the most. In addition, getting modkilled results in an instant loss for that player, along with my general hatred. In short, follow the rules, don't be a dick. 21) Small/Invisible text: You may use smaller text if it amuses you, as long as it's not meant to bypass a rule. As in, no hidden messages or shit like that. Don't use cryptology (breadcrumbs are fine). I will fuck you up for fucking with my game.
22) Win Mentality: Play to win. 23) Policy: Have fun. Or else. And remember, it's a game - keep it classy and don't take things personally; everyone's doing what they have to to win. 24) Setup Design: This is a closed setup. A selection of characters were grabbed as possible town roles. That list was randomized to determine town characters and fakeclaim characters. Roles were then designed to match characters to an extent. 25) Flavor: The flavor in this game is loosely based on The Force Awakens. THERE MAY BE SPOILERS. You have been warned.
Mechanics 1) There is a Map to Luke Skywalker out there that every person is trying to get their hands on. 2) The Map will begin in the hands of a predetermined player. 3) Every role in the game has a special ability or modifier that activates if they have the Map. 4) If you have the Map, you must pass it to another player at night. 5) If a person is killed while they have the Map, the Map will pass to their killer. 6) If the Map holder is lynched, the person who cast the hammer vote will receive the Map and must pass it that night.
Sample Town PM
*NOTE: There are no stock/boilerplate town abilities, aka no "you have a voice and a vote". Each PM is custom and written differently. Mafia have fakeclaims and fake PMs.
Trollie is a 2012 account with modding experience. There's no way he doesn't know what pre-game talk is. Lone Wolf is probably his partner. If he did have meta with Trollie, I would expect him just to let RC know, not let him know and then vote him. Sounds like someone's getting a little too protective.

literally 100% same thoughts as I had.
Alt of Titus. Get to know a Titus! That's actually fucking awesome. So yeah. Hey Titus, I'm going to have to adjust what I think of your play now. - Talah
