/in to mod a short-deadline game in which players can't be nightkilled if they figure out the scum team:

gun shop

3 Mafia Goons
14 Town Compulsive Visitors

-On the first Day, all townies send in a ranking of all players. If a townie doesn't send in an action later on, their visit will default to the top living player on their list.
-Every Night, the Mafia can arm a townie for a night. This is their only factional action (no night kill).
-Townies visiting an armed player will both arm themselves for that night and die. This means that everyone chained to scum's target will die (this only includes scum's target if a chain goes full circle).
-Even nights are skipped, resulting in a day/night/day/day/night cycle.
-If no majority vote occurs before deadline, lynches are decided by plurality. In the case of a tie, the player who got their last vote first dies.

Townie 1 visits Townie 6; is visited by 7. Arming him will kill 7 & 5.
Townie 2 visits Townie 4. Arming her will not kill anyone.
Townie 3 visits Townie 4. Arming him will not kill anyone.
Townie 4 visits Scumbag 1; is visited by 2, 3, 8, 10. Arming her will kill 2, 3, 8, 10 & 14.
Townie 5 visits Townie 7. Arming him will not kill anyone.
Townie 6 visits Townie 11; is visited by 1. Arming her will kill 1, 7 & 5.
Townie 7 visits Townie 1; is visited by 5. Arming him will kill 5.
Townie 8 visits Townie 4; is visited by 14. Arming her will kill 14.
Townie 9 visits Scumbag 3. Arming him will not kill anyone.
Townie 10 visits Townie 4. Arming her will not kill anyone.
Townie 11 visits Townie 13; is visited by 6. Arming him will kill 6, 1, 7 & 5.
Townie 12 visits Townie 13. Arming her will not kill anyone.
Townie 13 visits Scumbag 2; is visited by 11, 12. Arming him will kill 11, 12, 6, 1, 7 & 5.
Townie 14 visits Townie 8. Arming her will not kill anyone.

Play advice for town

If you target scum, you cannot be killed during the night. However, if it seems like scum only arm scummy townies, it may be a good idea to target a universal town read

The safest base strategy I can think of is to target your less fashionable scum reads, although no fixed public strategy is bound to work.

Don't massclaim your future targets. This will result in at least two deaths every night.

Be transparent about your reads. The increased lynch/visit accuracy that results from transparency
does
outweigh the danger of having a multi-kill because scum outguessed the town's targets.

Keeping a personal pet scum so you can target them at night is comparable to playing poorly in a normal game so you won't be nightkilled. Just get your suspects lynched.

Play advice for scum

Never give up before being lynched. If you claim scum and the town decides to keep you around, you'll essentially turn the game nightless.

-----

Days will last 6 days. Nights last 48 hours, but scum can cut the Night short if all townies have sent in their actions. On Day 1 and and on replacements' first Days, players will be replaced after 72 hours of low activity. After that, players will be replaced after a Day of low activity. Pre-in to pre-in.

I've got a pre-in from Hellfire Missile.

This game is played with the recommended deadline rules on the setup page: six-day Days and nights that last 48 hours at most. Players must have some experience playing Mafia as this is an atypical setup.

Is time stopped during finding replacement? If yes, I /in
Deadlines are suspended while a player is being replaced. Once a replacement is found, either the old deadline is reinstated, or the deadline is set to 48 hours from the moment of replacement, whatever comes later.

I've added this to the suggested deadline rules on the wiki.

Sign-ups to 695 have been abandoned due to lack of player interest.

Note that the deadlines for 695 are still shorter than usual:

Days last a week. Nights last 48 hours, but scum can cut the Night short if all townies have sent in their actions. On Day 1 and on replacements' first Days, players will be replaced after 72 hours of low activity. After that, players will be replaced after 6 days of low activity.

Deadlines are suspended while a player is being replaced. Once a replacement is found, either the old deadline is reinstated, or the deadline is set to 48 hours from the moment of replacement, whatever comes later.
