So let's discuss role synergy pre-game Hoopla, even though you'll probably be dishonest just in case you're scum again.

Splitting the vig in half was a good way to weaken it. However a lot of other pro-scum roles have been taken out, so I can see scum still going for it:

1. Even night Vig
2. Odd night Vig
3. Redirector
4. 2-Shot Janitor
5. Jailkeeper/Bomb/Role Cop

Thoughts? Oh I see you already posted them. Janitor is powerful, but who is going to want to pick that if they are in the top 10? Selfishness 101.

Also I already know the best mason-role combo out there. *Crosses fingers* I'd say it but that wouldn't be pro-town.

And we all know I'm gonna be town this time.

I helped design the set-up this time. The main thing we were trying to fix from last time was the badass power combination for scum. It still exists this game to an extent, which opens up creative scum gambits - I can see a few decent combinations of roles that I won't say until the draft has been concluded. But there was 1-2 too many really pro-scum roles last time.

Masons also add a bit of power to the town, which should at some point in the game give us a confirmed innocent to work with which would be nice. Info roles like weak doctor and gunsmith are new inclusions which should also help the town. I expect a more balanced game this time, due to the very powerful roles being either watered down or removed.

The only thing is missing is the player list.

Have you completed one game on this site before?

This set-up is pretty complicated and fast-paced. There are no nights, there are lots of roles and stuff to sift through, and fruit to be vendored.

As much as I want to play a Spyrex-modded game and bring back the Nice and Fun scumteam, I'm afraid I'm going to have to sit this one out. I'll watch the topic, though, so if PYP4 comes around I can come in knowing what I'm doing. (I suppose this also means I could probably replace if someone gets BaM modkilled, though tbh I'll be a pretty lackluster replacement for the next couple of weeks.)

Incidentally, I am still of the opinion that this setup favors a town massclaim. Day 2 is probably the optimal time to do so. Maybe Day 3.

Also, I feel like we should discuss pro-town number strategy in this thread before we need to get our numbers in, but I haven't thought about it enough to actually have any conclusions to share.
