[Varsoon]

SaGa Frontier is a 1997 RPG for the Playstation 1. In the world of SaGa Frontier, the player takes control of one of seven main characters to set out on an adventure full of magic, space ships, and wonder. The game featured a very unique art style, combat system, and absurd difficulty. It is often regarded to be a 'hidden gem' among Playstation RPGs, and is one of my favorite games of all time.

SaGa Frontier Mafia is an attempt to recreate the magic of that game; I will be adhering to the level of flavor that I implemented in Steven Universe Mafia. Furthermore, while this game is not bastard, due to several mechanics, it can not be called balanced. Know that you're signing up for an over-the-top game of mafia with roles that would never show up in a sane person's game. There are also some special mechanics that I will share here that will fit the flavor and add a bit of nuance to the game;

SPECIAL MECHANICS FEATURED IN SAGA FRONTIER MAFIA

Spoiler: PARTY UP!

Players vote during day phase for a 'Main Character'. During the night phase, the 'Main Character' chooses 4 players to be his 'party'.
The identity of the MC and his Party will be public info.
The MC will be chosen each day, all the way through LYLO, but he loses the ability to draft a party once there are only 5 or less players left in the game.
The MC can not be lynched (except in LYLO) or killed.
The MC and his party will use the day phase to publicly vote for what adventure they partake in during the following Night phase (refer to the 'ADVENTURE' special mechanic).
The MC and his party are the only ones that can 'spark' techniques (refer to the 'SPARKING TECHNIQUES' special mechanic).
The MC and his party gain a neighborhood they can chat in for the day/night that they are grouped together.
If the party ever groups up on a target (two or more party members target the same player during the same day or night phase) then the abilities that they use on that player will always affect that player without fail--this does not extend to factional abilities. This is the ONLY way the Main Character can die aside from being lynched in LYLO.

Spoiler: SPARKING TECHNIQUES

During the night, a party will go on an adventure. During this adventure, they fight monsters and 'spark' new techniques.
Players will have other means of sparking techniques, however these methods are almost always tied to Adventures.
There are four categories of techniques; FIST, GUN, SWORD, DODGE.
Each category of technique has a progression of five different techniques; in order to achieve a stronger technique, you must have already sparked every technique that comes before it.
What each technique does will be public info.

Spoiler: ADVENTURE!

The MC and his party can choose a REGION to 'quest' in during the day.
This information will be made public, however the rewards from adventuring to that region will only be known to members of the party.
Each region will yield a power that the party gets exclusive knowledge of.
In the case only one player can receive the reward for adventuring, everyone in the party votes for who gets it and the MC's vote counts twice.
A region may only be visited for its rewards once unless specifically stated otherwise.
There will be 20 regions to visit.

The short-and-easy is that it's a 21 player game with a special mechanic revolving around everyone voting for a single player to be a deathproof 'main character'. That player chooses 4 other players and they all get to chat in private and go on adventures for sweet new abilities.

Spread the word. Since this is a 21 player game, it might be a bit tough to fill (especially given the holidays and the fact a lot of my usual players just started fresh games).
If you've got friends or rivals on-site, this will be a fantastic game to play against them in.
