I like these. Due to the nature of some EM roles I think you'd have to make special rules. Oracle is a pretty common role in EM/Competitive EM and its basically unheard of on MS. I think its balanced. Moreso than a role like treestump

"Confusingly heavy on role interactions" lol, you're being silly. There are no gambits on MS anymore. There are no CCs. Its really boring. Its producing really boring players and a really boring meta. Thats my opinion. As far as claiming on D1, uhh no not really. Not in those setups. Except for GAI. Which I know MS would never go for strictly on a numbers basis. Quilford, I dont know if you have ever played competitive em outside training lobby or if you know what its really about, and you are entitled to your opinion, but can you not turn this into an EM-bashfest? Thanks bro.watch for the eggshells-

I remember asking you if you were Junpei. lol
I think MS players would initially be averse to playing VDLI like what it has evolved into now. The only reason I can see the setups not translating is like Peta said, nightstarts. Takes awhile for you to sign up for an MS game. A week or more sometimes. It would suck to be N1'd. Anyway.
You cant argue with the numbers.

Not trying to force EM's meta on MS. I'm just making a suggestion. I know EM is a sensitive topic 'round here. @Quil if anything I'd argue that because of the shorter and more intimate nature of the games, its easier to build cases because everything is more succinct. "Typing rate" is irrelevant and you know it. I'd argue that mafia was never intended to be played for weeks and months on end. I'd argue that if anyone was playing a deviant form of mafia, its mafiascum, not EM. But thats a different thread, different discussion.
My point is...did I have one? Oh yeah, the current meta is boring. Bringing a new style (not radically different, and proven to be balanced via massive sample sizes) couldn'thurtthe site. It could possible make it more interesting and dynamic by teaching newer players how to CC and gambit, the importance of being cognizant of lylo/mylo situations, knowing how to do a proper 1v1, etc. I think its a bit arrogant to say we (MS) cant learn anything from EM.watch for the eggshells-
