Whether lurking vs. activity is scummy or not comes down to a lot of contextual issues that I'm too tired/lazy to get in to. If you want a good example of lurk = scum, look at Empking's uPick. If you read that game, it's pretty obvious from mid day 1 that the entire scum team was lurking pretty hard.

scumtells don't exist.

"Looking like scum" is a dumb concept because what "looks" like scum is subjective and lets people be bad without evaluating why their models led them to lynching town.
