In many ways, Newbies are the perfect thing to analyze because they're all the same/similar (depending on how you view that kind of semi-open setup), reducing variability.

In other ways, you're really limiting yourself as the population that plays lots of those games is fairly small. And the major thing you're working against with an ELO system in forum mafia is number of repetitions. Because unlike chess or any other two player game, you have intervening variables of other players. And that's perfectly fine if you can get tons of games, but I imagine the number of people who play even 10 games a year in the newbie queue is fairly small, much less then 40 or so you probably need to have an elo system provide good value.

frankly i think if we did stats a "win % by game type" would be a lot more telling.

Ffery's lead is quite impressive. 29 point lead on #2, which is only slightly smaller than the distance from #2 to #25.

Until more people are eligible than not posting "Top 25" lists is highly skewed. Not sure if the effort of going through enough games is worth it to you.
I don't think this will ever, ever happen.

We haven't consider Open Games.

We won't consider Theme Games.
So you aren't going to consider what in all likelyhood amounts to a majority of the games on site?

Well thanks for the clarity on that.

Top 25 is top 8%.

Top 8% is quite impressive.
Feel free to disagree but throwing stats that aren't meaningful isn't very helpful.

Your 25 players listed may not even be in the real Top 100 of all players. Or Top 200. or Top 500. There is no way to know given the small sample size you are using. As I said until you get at least half the player-base included in your pool of eligible players then your Top is just listing of the best ranked players in a small strata of the site's games.

I mean I understand the fun in doing it for you.

What is your deal.
