Last time we had Team Mafia, three out of four players on the winning team had to be replaced. One player did stick with it to the end, but he was the worst player in the competition. And the team still managed to win.

That kind of ruined the concept for everyone.

I promised nothing! Any memories (or posts) are just a figment of your imagination.

But you're right. I think it's time again.

The concept still needs to be reworked to something other than what we did the first and second times for how we pick the winner, but that's just something I need to sit down and think about.

In 2011 and 2012 zoraster ran team mafia 1 and 2. You had a team of 4 players split across 4 games (5 games total in the 2nd edition). You had a collective Quicktopic to discuss the games with your team, and teams got placed overall at the end based on a formula that measured their performance.

In 2013 zoraster intentionally didn't run a team mafia to keep it special.

In 2014 I assume he forgot or was too busy with LM duties.

I unfortunately missed 2012 Team Mafia and hadn't joined by the 2011 one. It would be interesting to see a 2015 TM.

i'm not sure that's a great idea
"i have the sickest grossest feeling that even if it's my lynch today, my townflip still won't lead to a tso lynch, and then he'll find some bullshit way to reason either shooting or lynching gm tomorrow because if there's anyone who can strongarm a mislynch despite his reads or cases being proved wrong time and again it's tso"

I'd totally come back and mod/do organizational busywork/sell baked good or whatever it took to help TM3 get off the ground.

What some of the original players lacked in staying power, the remaining members made up for by working really well together even if they weren't the best players. :D


I'm ready for TM3 and hoping my team is sticking together.
