"Oh, we'd better lynch before deadline or something bad at happen" creates an artificial deadline some time before the actual one.

If you end up waiting until right before deadline you start running a risk of missing the lynch especially if the town is uber inactive. When town is super inactive I would start advocating lynching a few days before the deadline. When people wait till deadline simply for the sake of waiting then what happen is everyone sits around doing nothing and they all pile on at the end (hopefully). Lynching before the deadline is a good choice when town is inactive.
