I've seen one legitimate scumslip in a game I played - it was a multiball game where one faction was devastated, while Town was completely oblivious to the other. One of the leading members of that group then referred to the game as being in LyLo at seven people, when everyone figured that there was only an SK left.

It went by unnoticed, except for two of us in the deadthread.

The rest? Yeah, I can pretty much agree.

I saw GreyICE scumslip in Polite Mafia

He posted in the thread a message that was meant to go to the mod

by that point, apathy was so prevalent in the game that no one even noticed
Join me on my quest to play every NES game! Some of them are awful.

Kuribo's read is foolproof: one night he was high on NyQuil, and he's ancestors reveiled Aureal's alignment to him. - Dessew

I scumslipped in a newbie game once. One of the newbies noticed it but I gave a handwave explanation and then everyone forgot about it. (But I mentioned it in my scum QT, meaning that everyone remembered about it again in the postgame.)

The problem isn't that scumslips don't exist, but that townies do things that look like scumslips often enough that you're not going to be able to separate the genuine scumslips from townies being stupid.

I scumslipped in my first game here. I used a lack of a quickhammer at 5p lylo on my wagon to argue my buddy was Town, but didn't stop to realize that also cleared the Townie I was buddying up to and put him at a 5% chance of being scum. I was immediately caught by that Townie and Town went on to win the game due to it.
