What defines a mafia game?

I did ponder this however in essence it's a 3:10 nightless with a new lynching method.
This brings us to the question, what defines a game of mafia?

So I've got this problem, what makes the difference between a mafia game and any other forum game?
I've always thought that a game of mafia is a game with two (or more) factions that have to wipe out each other, except there's always an uniformed majority vs an informed majority.

What do you think is the line between a mafia game and something that should go in mish-mash?

Yeah, this is mafia. I mean, War in Heaven is mafia. Kingmaker is mafia. This is complicated, but it probably still counts as mafia.

The separate target/attack phases are weird, and seem to punish changing your mind--a lot can happen in a week. And it's worth noting that classic nightless games are 4:8--and town still almost always win those. 3:10 isn't a good ratio unless a.) mafia have a few tricks behind the scenes or b.) there's something like a Bad Idea mechanic that turns the town's own impulsiveness against them (or at the very least, means that the normally slow nightless format won't drag on too long). However, neither of these issues make it not mafia.

RITP is mafia. Majority of Rebels are uninformed of King. Minority of Kingdom is informed
AITP is not mafia. Majority is informed of King. Minority of Assassin is uninformed
WITP is not Mafia. You got 2 different informed factions (There is no 'single' majority) and an uninformed minority
