A game with two cult factions

Ok, so bear with me here. This is probably the worst thing ever but eh

9 Players
1 Orange Virus

1 Blue Virus

6 Antibodies
1 Penicillin Tablet

The Orange Virus and Blue Virus can add each one player to their cult each night. If they try to recruit a player already in the other cult, it will fail.

The Penicillin tablet cannot be recruited, and each night can choose one player to make unrecruitable.

Is there any way this could work at all?

Multicult games tend to wind up being less town vs scum, and more scum vs scum with the town as a hapless battlefield. This game probably isn't an exception. It's worth noting that the game will run out of recruitable antibodies very, very fast and turn into a nightless multiball from there, and nightless multiballs are historically terrible.

It's actually an interesting setup mathematically, but it almost entirely comes down to the recruitments.

Considering that any faction that reaches three people either wins, draws, or is bollocks at social manipulation, and that Penicillin's faction controls the lynch but can only really do so with either Penicillin acting as kingmaker or by revealing everyone who has been immunized (and thus, to the cults, where everyone else likely stands, thus informing their last recruitments)... I -guess- the strategy looks like this.
*Day 1: Penicillin claims and dictates the lynch.
*Night 1: Penicillin recruits someone.
*Day 2: Penicillin dictates the lynch.
*Night 2: Penicillin recruits someone.
*Day 3: Penicillin announces their recruits. They proceed to lynch everyone else at something like random. If all of Penicillin's recruits are on Town, this wins. If one of Penicillin's recruits is on scum, this gives an okay chance to not losing to (or if they're lucky, drawing with) that three-person scumteam, and a better chance at not losing to that two-person cult. If both of Penicillin's recruits are on scum, that's pretty hilarious.
*Day ?: If the game is not over, lynch the person recruited on Night 2, probably.

Well, what if a cult can no longer recruit if their original member is lynched?

Eh. True.

Might give the town a little more of a chance. If just a little.

make the penicillin tablet prevent a recruitment just on that night instead of permanently? (similar to a doctor)

not sure if this makes it too scum-sided, though

Town's best option is to do the same thing, but only have one inno to reveal on Day 3 after having protected the same person twice. Then they hope that neither Cult ever reaches three members.

Either way it goes from having virtually no room for scumhunting to having literally no room for scumhunting.
