for the record, i agree with mollie completely on this. spam posting is not just annoying (and really... it's fucking annoying ok, like really fucking annoying just stfu)

it's antitown and makes it difficult for players to keep up, focus, or stay motivated.

it's anything but harmless, psyche.

I just don't think so. Except in extreme cases, I've never observed as significant an effect as someone people make it out to be. Whenever someone brings it up in a game,

is usually the distracting red herring.

But maybe someone's done a study to compare how pagecounts relate with mislynch rates?
