Inexact Matches

In the list of Normal roles, two of them have issues with translation to MafiaScum. These are the Snoop and the Journalist/Informant. Here is why each one has problems.

Town Snoop

>Visits one person every night.
>Discovers what items they have at the start of day phase.
>Can see Mason and Cultist robes.
>Can see Miller, Insane, Paranoid, and Naive suits.
>Can see Sheriff, Deputy, Sniper guns and Bulletproof vests.
>Sided with the village.

The problem is it's a bit overpowered. It can see Miller suits, a crazy powerful ability. A good way to nerf this would be to only show that there is a suit, and not what type. It still indicates that an investigation is not correct in some way.

Town Journalist

>Visits one person every night.
>Any system messages that person receives that night are given to the Journalist as well.
>Sided with the village.

The problem here is it is able to see ability and target. A simple fix is to make it a Follower instead.

A Rolecop can also see a Miller in a Normal here on mafiascum.net. I don't think that's a broken interaction (although obviously, the moderator will need to be aware of it when balancing the setup).

A good example is Mini 1805, which had a Backup Miller purely to act as a confirmed innocent result for the Rolecop (Normal games don't allow scum millers).

It's not a rolecop though: it's a thief-type role.

About Traitors

On EM, Traitors are not included in the mafia's win numbers. There are other roles on EM that seem to follow the Traitor idea here though (cannot attend meetings, does not know who is the mafia, but has abilities and counts towards mafia numbers). Here is a list of all EM roles that are like Traitors here.

Other traitor based issues:
Turncoat: will turn into Traitor if targeted my mafia factional kill
Consigliere: starts as villager but can self-convert to mafia
Both of those are considered bastard due to alignment changes.

Some EM roles are good. I use the EM death miller a lot. Oracle too.

Some roles don't translate well, like the Disguiser. But that's a trash role anyway.

NEWS UPDATE!
There is a new set of roles introduced in EM. Will update the roles at some point.
Edit as of December 1 2016: I am putting this project on hold for a bit. There's yet another new wave of roles.
