Cowboys, lots of them. Yeah, western, definitely. Perhaps even robots, and Native Americans and gigantic octopuses that were genetically engineered to be part hawk. Throw in some mild explosives, a laugh track and maybe even Gandalf or something.

Yes, you have entered a realm that you simply can't walk out on. This is my world, and remember, you wanted this.

I'm going to kill as many of you as I feel like. I'm going to give you the illusion of freedom by offering you an escape. It seems I'm the villain that talks to much to the hero while the sidekick sneaks up behind him. Don't worry, I made sure to fill the air vents with super glue, just to screw with you.

So here we are. You, desperate and scared. Me, soooooo ready to murder the crap out of you.

But I'm going to let you do the deciding on who to kill. Two among you are not like the others, two among you just don't belong. If you find them and get them killed first, I'll let you go. If they find you, well... you get the picture.

5. Don't post the links to quicktopics that are used unless I give you permission.
   
6. Claiming to be scum is prohibited. If you are scum, you are not allowed to claim your partners name. If you do, you will be modkilled.
   
7. Don't use small, invisible, or encrypted text. If I can't read it, its unacceptable.
   
8. If you find loopholes in any of the rules and use them it is considered not good sportsmanship. This doesn't apply to game mechanics of course. If you find a loophole that seems important please do not hesitate to notify me immediately.
   
9. Personal grudges are NOT acceptable. Period.
   
10. Swearing a lot isn't tolerated by me. If you are angry. Take a quick breather, take a walk, but don't let loose in thread. Once or twice is alright, get the point across, I'd prefer if you didn't but a lot of people swear naturally. But overuse is not allowed. I hope you would know what the limit is.
    
11. HAVE FUN!!!! This is a game.
    
12. Modkills will be enforced. If you do something that is a modkillable offense, it will be done in a way that is detrimental to your faction. You will be changed to a neutral survivor. I understand if you accidentally do something you shouldn't, though.

Posting, Voting, Deadline and Death

1. Deadlines are a fixed 2 weeks. If there is a replacement I might allow an extensions. Extensions will not be longer than 1 week.
   
2. If you are going to be on vacation or unavailable for some time please inform me in thread or through a PM.
   
3. If your V/LA covers too long a time I will replace you.
   
4. If you do not post in

5. If you do not respond to the prod in another

6. If you get

8. Unvotes are not required but appreciated. Please Unvote before voting again.(ex. UNVOTE: Playername)
   
9. Abbreviations are acceptable as long as I can clearly tell who you mean.
   
10. Lynches will happen when a Majority is reached. Majority is half of available votes plus one rounded down.
    
11. If players so choose, you can vote for No lynch. Normal Majority is required for a No Lynch to pass.
    
12. If at deadline there is no Majority, a No Lynch will occur. If there is a tie at deadline, a No Lynch will occur.
    
13. Once there is a Majority, votes cannot be taken back. The decision is final.
    
14. As soon as I have posted the scene of your death. You are no longer allowed to post in thread. I will allow 'Bah' posts as long as they are completely content less, and you are only allowed ONE.

Matrix Setup

All Newbie games are using the Matrix 6 setup, where the List Moderator randomly assigns either one row or one column from the table below. The remaining six roles will be filled in by mafia goons and vanilla townies appropriately, to create a 2-mafia and 7-town setup. For example Row 1 (1 jailkeeper, 1 vanilla townie, 1 mafia goon) would add an additional 5 vanilla townies and 1 mafia goon, for a total setup of 1 jailkeeper, 6 vanilla townies, and 2 mafia goons. The Game Moderator will assign players to the roles.

One-Shot Bulletproof:

You are scared of the local Mafia presence, and have taken to protecting yourself while you sleep.

• You have no ACTIVE abilities at Night other than getting a good night's rest.

Hello everyone! I'll be your IC (Inexperienced Challenged) for this game. My play is dictated by that article our mod mentioned and that I am too lazy to link to myself (And to give you an idea how lazy I am, this speech has been copied and pasted from my last game as IC.). My job is to make your transition onto the site an easy one and to answer all your questions about the game, along with the SEs, who are my question answering helper monkeys. The problem is that sometimes your helper monkeys just want to play the game, so if you really need an answer, please be sure to ask me as I am obligated to provide any help you may need in regards to game theory. In addition, I'll most likely spout something game theoryish every so often to help you understand the game better.

For example:

This phase of the game is generally known as RVS, or the Random Voting Stage. Sometimes it is known as RQS (Random Question Stage) or just R*S. The point of it is to give us information right off the bat so that we can begin scumhunting as soon as we can. Otherwise, we'd just be wandering aimlessly. This stage of play ends when somebody finds something they find legitimately scummy and pressures someone on it. Contrary to popular belief, if a wagon starts building quickly, RVS is probably over and we need to examine why that wagon built up so quickly, as scum is probably on it. That means sorting through motive, etc.

There was no misinformation. I introduced the concept of the Random Voting Stage, and then put down a random vote. What about that didn't you understand? The odds are the same for anyone to draw scum, since the roles are randomly distributed. There could be 1 scum in the SEs, none, or they both could be scum. Heck, I could be scum. The point was not to get into random distribution, which should be apparent to anyone, but to get the game started via RVS.

Now, that being said, there is a wide held theory among some more experienced players that there is likely to be scum among the SEs and the IC. I'm not sure where this theory came from, and I haven't seen it be incorrect that often. That seems like a solid start imo, don't you think?

In terms of experience, I've played on two other sites and started playing in 2011.

Out of the 11 completed Newbie games I have on site, 6 of them had at least 1 of the SEs/IC as scum. So I guess it's a little better than 50%. That's good enough for a random vote.

Oh thought u meant I was the one misleading. U meant bulb, that makes more sense.

But I don't think he was misleading @ all. Like he said, he explained that votes were random @ this stage. I cant imagine anyone reading what he said and thinking that he was implying that his vote was anthing other than random. I assummed he was just being funny.

I was following his logic. That doesn't have to mean I believe it. In a truly random setup the roles will always be picked randomly. Given I don't know much about the mod, I have to presume that that will be the case here.

However, I was wondering whether Bulbazak was pushing for a lynch against one of the SEs and wanted to see if that was indeed his aim. If Mafia, eliminating the more experienced players more likely to read him correctly would be a good move, but given that he is also experienced it could easily backfire if his own argument is used against him (though with the length of the phase changes, perhaps not?).

But you only said something when somebody voted you. You didn't treat it as a random vote or as a vote of no consequence. You freaked out and got defensive unjustifiably. It should be apparent that I was voting in reference of the RVS phase that I just got done talking about. What would have been different if I would have said that everybody who loved cats always drew scum, or that anybody whose name started with an H tended to draw scum, or that anybody with the name JarJar ALWAYS drew scum? What would be the difference? Absolutely nothing. But you made it a big deal. Why? Because someone voted you in jest using what was obviously silly reasoning.
