It seems like not a fantastic place or reason to vote. I don't see town reasoning behind it. And I'm not a fan of WW's naked vote entrance into the game.

Do you see scum motivation behind it?
. What's your opinion of Wisdom?

Behind Diego's vote or WW's naked vote? Both votes I consider to be anti-town at the very least. Diego's vote on Pops was never going to lead anywhere, it feels like it could have just been an attempt to make it seem like he's pressuring someone when he actually wasn't. And WW's apparent refusal to provide insight or information isn't town in my book.

Wisdom is hard to read. Weird approach to the game if he's scum; he's striking me probably more as town, just with an incorrect read.

I find WW's refusal to play silly, not scummy. There are players who do this regularly. I'd wait to see how people keep reacting to him before I push him.
beeboy - Everyone thought this game was made to troll pie but it was really made to troll pisskop.
Almost50 pisskop: Overall, that's a townie slot. Don't ask for specifics because with PK everything can be interpreted either way. It's probably WHEN he says/does things that matter, so it's more of a matter of conception rather than solid reasoning.

Pisskop, you have a point on chainsaw defense, but just because something is a good move as scum doesn't mean it shouldn't be done as town. I didn't post a definition of strawman becuase you can google it in 5 seconds if you don't know.

"A straw man is a common reference argument and is an informal fallacy based on false representation of an opponent's argument." There you go.

ISO'd everyone. VOTE: Whomping Willow
I'm not sure what you're all talking about on this guy's legendary towniness, he hasn't even tried to explain anything.
Elyse is more town then I realy gave her credit for on tone of voice.

Ok I'm not trying to be annoying and drag this out so sorry in advance but you've never mentioned tone or anything like it. So when you used the word "tone" to paraphrase something, what specifically were you paraphrasing? I'm looking for a quote from you because I don't know what you're talking about and I think you're saying something you never said.

The general conversation, not anything specific.

I never understood his Towniness in open 584 either, yet quite a few people had strong townreads on him. They turned out t be right. I'm really hoping these quoted posts don't turn into a repeat of that game.

Why
beeboy - Everyone thought this game was made to troll pie but it was really made to troll pisskop.
Almost50 pisskop: Overall, that's a townie slot. Don't ask for specifics because with PK everything can be interpreted either way. It's probably WHEN he says/does things that matter, so it's more of a matter of conception rather than solid reasoning.

1) You were defending HI though?

2) That's not a complete definition of strawman though.
"A straw man is a common reference argument and is an informal fallacy based on false representation of an opponent's argument." There you go.

That's wikipedia's first sentence on it. The rest of that introduction goes on to describe how there must be an attack. What you did was closer to a strawman than what Ely did.

In post 140, davesaz wrote:My opinion, it is too early.

Dave's response didn't seem to indicate that he thought it was an attack. In fact, he calls Ely town in 235 and tells her she's too stuck on HI in 232. He seems to stay out of that debate otherwise.

You said:
In post 148, Zebulin wrote:The argument seemed town when I posted it seemed town, but as it went on it reminded me more of TvM.
Alchemist asked you what changed your read on her:
In post 163, Alchemist21 wrote:133 was the only post concerning their argument in between your 128 and 139, the former being where you called it Town v Town and the latter being Town v scum. What in that post changed your read on Elyse?
Your "answer":
In post 164, Zebulin wrote:Misrep after misrep after misrep.
Alchemist said:
In post 168, Alchemist21 wrote:I want you to go back and point to the specific parts that caused your read to change.
Then you pointed out the misreps that Elyse made. Is that an answer? You went back and told us what made you change your mind? No.
Did you say that you scumread Elyse because of those misreps? No, and I don't even know if you actually scumread her because of those misreps...
I mean even if they indeed made you change your mind, I won't buy that that your townread on her changed to scumread only because of those misreps (they are misreps according to you).
If you scumread her because of something else, you should tell us, because you only pointed out her misreps, nothing else.
Btw, as I said, I don't really understand what you said there. I mean you said "Misrep after misrep after misrep." What is misrep? Misrep is what Alchemist did in post ? Or misrep is the answer to his question? ("What in that post changed your read on Elyse?")

YES I scumread Elyse because of those misreps. I pointed out the bad argument in post 138, which you didn't quote. MY READ ON ELYSE CHANGED. It became a scumread because of the misreps. That's what caused my read to change. You're saying my logic is faulty, and the only thing I see wrong is not explaining every detail of my inner thoughts.

Nice, at least I understand what you meant...
My opinion didn't change. I won't buy that your read changed on her only because of those "misreps".

Yeah, I gave him the benefit of the doubt too much there. I feel foolish having done so.

I'm currently ISO'ing folks, but honestly I still feel like Alexcellent isn't a bad choice.

His returning post will probably be the deciding factor for me.
