You used to be able to depend on the masonry to ensure that democracy and peace would be held in InnocentVillage. But now the Mafia are gaining influence, and are threatening to take over the town.

Rules:


General Rules
(basically stolen from Nobody Special)

1) This is a game. HAVE FUN.
2) I, as Your Moderator, have final say in everything. If I make a mistake, please send me a PM to discuss it. Votecount errors can be pointed out in the thread.
3) Anything in the thread that should draw my attention should be bolded, thus: @Mod, blah blah blah.
4) You may not talk about this game outside of this thread; exceptions are only when your Role PM allows it.
5)
Bolded Blue
is my color. Do not use it, under penalty of Impersonating The Mod (which is modkillable; don't make me do it).
6) Posting in other colors is allowed, and in fact encouraged. I like colorful games.
7) Do not quote your Role PM or any other PM from Me. Likewise, do not quote from any outside communication.
8) Do not post in invisible text or tiny text. If I have to "Quote" your post to be able to read what you made small, I will Not Be Happy.
9) If you somehow have the ability to edit your post, do not. I will modkill you. Dead. Worse than Dead. Your faction will suffer. I am Evil when crossed. Be warned.
10) Flavor is flavor. Parts is parts. Nothing in the flavor reflects Actual Game Mechanics.

Player Activity


11) I do not (always) automagically prod players. If you would like a prod sent, ask in-thread. Prods will be sent after
48 HOURS
of inactivity.
12) If you are prodded: You must respond in-thread within 48 hours or you will be replaced. Three or more prods and I may or may not replace you without warning.

Deadlines and actions


15) Days will have a two week deadline; extensions will rarely be granted, and then only in extenuating circumstances.
16) If activity severely lags, I may or may not institute a shorter Day deadline. You will have at least 72 hours notice should this happen.
17) There are no nights in this game.


Death and stuff


*18) You MAY NOT vote for a no-lynch in this game.

*19) If the required number of votes is not reached by deadline,
the player with the most votes will be lynched. Ties will be broken based on who had more votes immediately to the past. If this is confusing, here's an example: A and B are tied at 3 votes at deadline. If C recently unvoted B, then B gets lynched because it was previously 4B votes to 3A votes. If C recently voted B, then A gets lynched because previously it was 3A votes to 2B votes. If you have questions ask me.

20) Lynching requires a true majority of votes from the living players. Every votecount will have the number alive and the number required to lynch.
21) Once a lynch has been reached and it is Twilight, everyone may talk until I post the death scene. I will not be locking the thread this game for long periods of time, since there is no night.
22) If you are killed, you are allowed one "Bah!"-type post. No game-relevant content allowed.

Miscellaneous


23) I reserve the right to modify these rules if necessary. Any rule changes during the course of the game will be clearly announced in the thread.
24) Do not tempt The Mod. Do not annoy The Mod. Do not get The Mod wet, nor feed The Mod after midnight.
25) Do not admit to not having read The Rules. I get very, very upset about this. The rules are here for a reason. Read them, follow them, know them.
26) I don't care if you swear. I do it all the time. Just don't be directly offensive towards others please. No "fuck you's" will be tolerated; that may or may not be a modkill.
27) Remember to have fun. After all, that's why we're here, isn't it?

*Every Mafia player has the ability to send in a private daykill to the mod. If the kill hits a Mason it will succeed, if it hits a Townie, the kill will backfire and the Mafia player will die.
*Neither Mafia NOR Masons have daytalk.

Mafia know who their partners are, masons know who their fellow masons are. No communication whatsoever except for in this thread, and PM's to me.

There are NO NIGHTS in this setup. That means that when someone dies, I write up a short death scene and the game moves onto the next day immediately with all votes reset (y'all don't get much sleep)

Mafia Goon

Welcome, [Player Name]. You are a Mafia Goon, along with your partners, [Player Name], [Player Name] and [Player Name].
Abilities:
Daykill: At any time in the game, you may PM the moderator a daykill attempt. If that player is a Mason they will die. If the player is a Townie, the kill backfires and you will suicide.
You have no private channel of communication with your scumteam.
Win condition:
You win when you control 50% of the town or nothing can prevent this from occurring.

Town Mason

Welcome, [Player Name], you are a Town Mason, along with your partners, [Player Name], [Player Name] and [Player Name].
Abilities:
You are confirmed town to your partners, and them to you, however you have no private channel of communication.

It's a new beautiful day in InnocentVillage. As you emerge from your slumbers, you hear a loud scream:

A gunshot pierces the silent air, and the next thing you see is the village mayor slumped over a chair, bloody and lifeless. What was his name again? Innocentvillager? Who could the culprit have been? You wonder...

Unfortunately, it looks like you're just going to have to lynch the mafiosi one by one until they're all gone.

It is now Day 1.

I'm going to make an authoritative mod action and say that YOU CANNOT VOTE no-lynch in this game. This serves no purpose in this setup except as a deadline extension. You must lynch someone at the end of deadline, or it will be decided for you based on the method I described in Rule 19

So Rule 18 has been changed. Sorry for the crazy rule changes guys, hopefully this will stop happening as the game goes on.

How and why?

If the Masons do that, Scum would be busy killing the Masons over 4 days, but during that time there'd be 4 less targets for the players to lynch. And once the Masons die, Scum can't kill anyone. If Scum can't kill anyone, then the game can wear on even longer, giving the VTs more of a chance for survival.

No, each mafia will kill one person. So they can take out the whole mason in 1 day, but the problem is, it leaves us with no room for error since it's Lylo (5 town and 4 scum). And the other bad thing is that there will be no information to go off of, so we would just practically be lynching people blindly.

Also, Wake townslipped I believe, so he's probably town.

Yes, since either the mason or the goon will die.

If the target dies no one will know who shot, and vice-versa.

*Also your buddies will not know whom to shoot because you have no communication with them.
