Welcome to WiFom City. Titus is your friendly mayor. The mafia and the town battle it out repeatedly to see who can take control over WiFom City.

The gates of WiFom City have held up against the mafia's attempt at corruption, or have they? Titus's newly trained police force have made crime in WiFom City mostly disorganized and chaotic. The crime rate had plummeted. The unsolved crime rate was near zero. Titus figured this was because her new police force was the best and criminals feared the consequences. However, the breach of the evidence locker made Titus wonder whether the police were deliberately underreporting crime (like in Philadelphia awhile back) or if they were intimidating citizens into not filing reports, especially in cases that were difficult to solve.
This morning, Titus got a message that the secure bank account had been hacked. This requires three computers in the computer room to be acting as one. Only Titus's loyal guards and their deputies (read replacements) were in the building. All of the guards were in the computer room at the time of hacking. The deputies were in the basement, weeding through data to determine if any crime families had emerged. As of now, they are in the dark about mafia, that is unless they are a deputy of a mafia man.
The deputies have been sealed into their room and the internet has been shut off (or has it).
Upon starting the hack, the two main scum were presented with 5 options. First, get access to an internal regulator for one player (bullet proof vest), limited dossiers emailed to a player (Rolecop), monk like combat abilities that town will adapt to (Mafia Joat with 1 shot strongman, one shot ninja), recruit the third person who helped the mafia hack into the database (recruit the traitor), or to reactive the internet during the day but only for themselves. The initial hack always activated the internet at night for the mafia. The internet works for the mafia regardless of whether or not they are handcuffed (roleblocked).
By hacking the bank account, the system's last resort defenses activated. After removing the computers that conducted the hack, the computer sent out two out of the five of the defensive abilities to random unused computers. Every time the mafia granted themselves, a defensive ability would be sent to another player. The defensive abilities are an ability detector (goon cop), handcuffs (roleblocker), an idiot's guide to stalking people at night (tracker), a savior complex (bodyguard), a gun with a silencer and malware that shuts off a target's computer (vigilante), and lastly the machine will announce that one of the players has been cleared of all suspicion (innocent child). Each ability overloads one of the servers, so no ability can be repeated.
Lastly, there are some that are so in sync Titus perceives them to be one entity in almost everything they do. She calls them Hyper Yearning Damn Awesome Sentries, or hydras for short. The computer system treats them as if they have one mind. Hydras have developed their own secret language they can use day or night without the possibility of interception by anyone regardless of hacking ability(read have a quicktopic).
Titus stands watch in the balcony. All the players are emailed the guide and rules to mafia, explaining the above. In the real world, everyone knows each player was sitting at their own computer during the days of the hacking. The system cannot suppose that however and thus takes no further action beyond explaining how the game of mafia is played
During each day, the group as a whole discusses who amongst them may be loyal to the mafia. There is only so much time to do this. Each player can use their computer to vote who they believe is most likely scum. Once a majority of the group votes to lynch a player, that player's system is immediately shut off and the lynched player is thrown in the basement prison (they die). The time between the decision to lynch and the throwing of the lynched player is twilight. Everyone can talk until the person is thrown away. Once they are thrown away, they cannot talk anymore.
After a lynch is achieved, the system conducts a search of the shutdown system. Without defenses, such a search is not taking at all for the defense system. The results will then be announced to the group (the mod will "flip" the lynched player, revealing their alignment to the group). If a lynch is not achieved, the system will not reveal any alignment.
Lastly comes night. Anyone with an activated system ability may do what their card prescribes. Sometimes players may die. The system will respond by checking them and announcing their alignment. The system will assist users who have abilities as well.
After night the cycle repeats itself.

Code of Conduct
1. Be Civil. This means insult how the player is playing but don't make it personal. The goal is a fun game for all.
2. Anything said to the mods (v/la) is to be assumed true. Lying about a v/la will have consequences.
3. Do not lie to the mod. Lying to the other players is perfectly acceptable and encouraged.
4. Don't replace out solely because your team is boned or you do not like your role PM. I doubt I'll ever find out, but if I do, you'll be blacklisted from any of my games.
5. Do stuff just for laughs, giggles and evil geniusery.
6. Do feel free to attempt to break the setup.
7. Follow both the spirit and the letters of the rules. If they conflict, ask.
8. Do not replace out due to your role.
9. Do not replace out because your team/slot is going to lose/get lynched.
10. Do not quote PMs from the mod.
11. Do not discuss ongoing games.
12. Inadvertent errors of breaking all but 11 should be ignored unless they impact the game. Deliberate violations will have harsher punishment at my discretion.
13. These rules may be modified at any time.
14. What the mod says is final, but the mod doesn't mind if you highlight a mistake she makes.
Game Specific Stuff
1. This game will reveal alignment and role upon death.
2. You are allowed one, non-game related Bah! post upon death. This post may NOT be in any scum QT you may or may not have.
3. Read the setup, detailed below.
4. This is a semi-open setup. All players will be aware of what roles can be in the game and that PRs cannot be duplicated. Only Mafia Goon and Vanilla Townie can repeat.
5. Votes can be bolded, in vote tages, use the word vote or lynch. Nicknames are acceptable. Clear intent and the vote standing out are all that is required. Do not use

,
Daykill
or anything similar to vote. If you say "mod, I intend to bold this" and I see it, your vote counts.
6. This is a semi-open setup. Players will know all the possible roles and that there cannot be duplicate PRs but nothing more.
7. The game uses Natural Order Resolution.
8. You are not allowed to mention the time the mod sent your Role PM or anything similar. This rule is in the wiki for this setup.
9. Days last nine days + the number of living players. Nights are 72 hours.
10. If a player fails to post in 48 hours, they will receive a prod. If they fail to post in 24 hours they will be replaced.
11. Any slot that must be replaced more than twice, will be modkilled, barring extreme circumstances.
12. Upon lynching/nightkill, the mafia traitor will not be confirmed if he or she was recruited or not.
