RULES


GENERAL RULES


1) All sitewide rules apply. Read them here
2) Please treat this game as a commitment and do your best to participate actively.
3) You may not discuss this game anywhere outside the game thread unless specifically allowed by your role PM. In such case, a PT will be provided and you may not discuss your game outside the game thread and/or the PT.
4) Be civil and treat other players with respect--attack the case, not the person. Mafia is a heated game, but insults, personal attacks, and bullying are not allowed. I determine what constitutes a violation. It's not up for debate.
5)
Blue is my color for this game
. Do not use it.
6) Quoting or pretending to quote your role PM, PTs, or private communications with the mod is strictly forbidden. Loose paraphrasing is permitted, although run it past me first when in doubt.
7) Violation of the rules will result in action as I see fit up to and including modkill.
8) If you notice errors on my part (such as in VCs) please let me know in thread by using
@Mod

9) For other issues, please PM me.
10) If you have outside information that influences your knowledge of the game, are aware of someone else having outside information, or have any reason to believe that the game has been compromised, it is your responsibility to inform the mod via PM immediately.

Voting/Lynching


1) For your vote or unvote to be counted, you must use vote tags or bold tags
and put the vote at the beginning of a line

Vote: picky mod

2) Votes for misspellings or acronyms of players' names (such as VOTE: Playrname or VOTE: PN) are valid as long as the player being voted for is clear. You are not required to unvote before changing your vote. However, votes that are behind spoiler tags, in quote tags, in small or invisible text, or otherwise concealed are invalid.
3) You may vote for a No Lynch.
4) A lynch will occur when 50%+1 (rounded down) of the votes are cast for the same player; a No Lynch will occur wen 50% of the votes are cast for that option. When this has happened, any subsequent votes and unvotes will not be counted, and the game will enter twilight.
5) You may continue talking after a lynch or deadline has elapsed until the mod posts to end the day. After that, you may not post even if the mod forgets to lock the thread.

Activity and Day/Night Phases

1) Days will have a deadline of (2) two weeks.
2) Night phases will last for forty eight (48) hours.
3) If a replacement is needed during a night phase, I will extend the night deadline until some time after a replacement is found, regardless of whether that slot has a night action.
4) In order for night actions to be accepted, they must be PM'd to the mod or posted in bold in PTs before the deadline is up. If a player does not select one, he or she will default to "no action." The last action submitted before the posted deadline will have effect.
5) Players may be prodded after forty-eight hours without posting. Players may request prods on other players. All prods will be announced in thread. A post must have content to reset the prod timer - "prodge" type posts don't count. The prod timer carries over from one day to the next, i.e. night does not reset the prod timer.
6) Players who do not respond to a prod within twenty-four hours or need to be prodded too many times will be replaced at the discretion of the mod.
7) If you will be unable to post for over forty-eight hours, inform the mod by PM or in the thread of when you'll be V/LA. Assuming the V/LA period is of reasonable length, you will be exempt from prods during that time. All V/LA notifications will be made public by the mod.
8) Once you're dead, you may no longer post in thread. No 'bah' posts.

SETUP


Full details of the setup can be found in the wiki.
The following is a summary:

The 12-player Stack the Deck setup is a variable open setup consisting of 9 town-aligned players and 3 mafia-aligned players (2 mafia goons and 1 mafia traitor with 1-shot bulletproof).

Two of the following powers are chosen at random for the town:

Bodyguard
Goon cop
Innocent child
Roleblocker
Tracker
Vigilante
The mafia may elect to receive up to 3 of the following role modifications:

Change a goon to bulletproof
Change a goon to jack-of-all-trades (1-shot ninja and 1-shot strongman)
Change a goon to role cop
Recruit the traitor as a mafia goon
Enable Day talk for the mafia team
For each additional power that the mafia selects, the town will receive an additional power chosen at random.

Please note the following:

No player will receive more than one role modification.
The mafia traitor is ineligible for any role modifications unless the mafia team recruits their traitor as a third goon, at which point the new goon may receive role modifications.
All modifications to roles are distributed at the conclusion of Night 0, including the two initial town power roles. Distribution of all role modifications is random.
If both goons (or modified versions thereof) die and the traitor was not recruited, the traitor will gain the factional Night kill ability.
At the beginning of Night 0, all players will receive vanilla role PMs (except the traitor, who will receive a traitor PM). All of the possible initial PMs are listed in the spoiler below.

Spoiler: Phase 1 Role PMs
Mafia Goon
Welcome, [Player Name]. You are a Mafia Goon, along with your partner [Player Name]. Additionally you know a Mafia Traitor exists, but you do not know who they are
Abilities:
Factional communication: During the night phase you may talk with your partner(s) here [QuickTopic link].
Factional kill: Each night phase, one of you or your partners may perform the factional kill.
Before the game begins, you may choose up to three of the following abilities to add to your faction, but for each ability you add town will get an additional ability:
Change a Mafia Goon to Mafia Role Cop
Change a Mafia Goon to Mafia Bulletproof
Change a Mafia Goon to Mafia JOAT (One Shot Ninja, One Shot Strongman)
Recruit the Mafia Traitor as a Mafia Goon
Enable passive daytalk
Win condition:
You win when all members of the town have been eliminated or nothing can prevent this from occurring.
Mafia Traitor
Welcome, [Player Name]. You are a Mafia Traitor. You know that [Player Name] and [Player Name] are Mafia Goons.
Abilities:
You have a one shot bulletproof ability if you are not recruited.
If you are not recruited and are the last surviving member of the mafia, you will take over the factional kill.
If you are recruited by the mafia you will become a mafia goon.
Win condition:
You win when all members of the town have been eliminated or nothing can prevent this from occurring.
Vanilla Townie
Welcome, [Player Name]. You are a Vanilla Townie.
Abilities:
You currently have no special abilities.
Win condition:
You win when all threats to the town are dead.

At the conclusion of Night 0, any players who have received role modifications will receive new role PMs. All of the possible role PMs are listed in the spoiler below.

You are confirmed town to the rest of the game by the moderator.
Win condition:
You win when all threats to the town are dead.
Tracker
Welcome, [Player Name]. You are now a Tracker.
Abilities:
Each night you may target a player. You will be informed who, if anyone, they targeted during the night.
Win condition:
You win when all threats to the town are dead.
Bodyguard
Welcome, [Player Name]. You are now a Bodyguard.
Abilities:
Each night you may target a player. If they would die during the night, you will die in their place.
Win condition:
You win when all threats to the town are dead.
Vigilante

Initial Role PMs have been sent.

Scum now has 72 hours to decide which, if any, additional abilities it wants.

Townies and the mafia traitor need do nothing at this point. No need to confirm.

Yeah I've thought that too but just stole shaddowez' stuff and forgot. My color is now blue.

I was looking at the Town list of roles. I suppose I am so used to seeing Bulletproof as a Town role that I forgot it was a scum role in this game.

Anyway, he is either not Bulletproof or is scum.
