any ideas what triggers the changes in votes? how will people move from me to a player they think are truly scummy when they've been instructed to move towards my wagon in a very mechanical, non-organic way?In post 18, Isis wrote:Then when someone has learned that a different Player has become a better choice, they will move their Vote and we will know things have become Serious.-

I'm finding it hard to visualize how this will unfold where we can get organic scum reactions because it's so mechanical that i can see scum just trying to play along, unless you have some sort of hidden card lying around somewhereIn post 23, Isis wrote:The Players who got to Vote you will Factionalize against those who did not get to Vote you, from the rule against fully killing you. This will create Tensions. I will try to deliberately inflame the Tensions until a Player is likely to act angrily.-

do you townread this or nah?In post 34, NorwegianboyEE wrote:It reads like you're trying to appear to be solving and putting out plans like you're having a townie mindset, but the actual plan described doesn't have much thought put behind it and thus i fail to see how it would be effective at containing scum.-

Why are my reactions scum and what is your response to our critique of your plan?In post 41, Isis wrote:Ok that was fun
This is a new open alt hopefully becomes my main. I got tired of letter soup.
Lightly townreading Norwee and scumreading monkey for their reactions so far.
Not sure how to read Elements. He is always an axolotl-tier read.-

okay but you understand that i can townread your efforts and think that your plan is flawed. In post 44, Isis wrote:Uh, I disavow the plan.
I scumread your reaction because kneejerking "this is town" then raising objectively meritous objections has this look to it like realizing a slot deserves to get townread but then pursuing a win condition where slots that deserve to get townread don't get townread. Norwee's response was more internally consistent.-

When you posted this, did you meant that you were lightly townreading Norwee and that you were also lightly scumreading me? Or did you mean that you were lightly townreading Norwee and flatly scumreading me, as in a read of a higher degree than lightly. In post 41, Isis wrote:Lightly townreading Norwee and scumreading monkey for their reactions so far.-

see this is weird because i was trying to browse his recent games and i found not one thing that can give me this kind of idea. At least 5 of his last games have been town, and his most recent scum game he kinda replaced into.In post 63, Isis wrote:He might also onboard to the plan, but I'd expect him to self-consciously feel obligated to provide some shred of his own reasoning for participating.
so to have this kind of conclusion of declaring that he is "paradoxically town", you guys must have a lot of history. can you give me insight on past games that might give you this idea?-

lots of players here are straight-up ignoring posts that seem AI to me. for example, votato double-downed that it was still RVS even after I went after him. Also a lot of them have been ignoring my efforts to put this game in a better place. Not just him, but Looker, Cycle Man, and Firebringer. It was kinda annoying.-

policy lynching? saying votato is scum because he said blue instead of green?
man, i feel like i'm on the wrong side of things.
happy to see that this game is moving away from garbage.
i've been away because i had to leroy jenkins a video i was editing for work.
i'm about to sleep now. give me 12 hours, and then i'll get back on this game.
TY.-

i was townreading him with the idea that Isis' comments on elements make him town, regardless of whether or not Isis is scum or town. but now i'm really reading elements' initial vote as less passive more trying to get on a town strategy he thinks will get him cred. i think elements was just as confused as i was.-

I think ABR is very transparent in what he does and how he does it. He doesn't feel the need to look like town or look figured-out. This gives me the kneejerk reaction that he's town. If he's scum, he's not giving himself a good position for future days. So I can tolerate what he's doing because he's giving us a lot of info for it.-

Elements, this was Looker's only post when you made the comment that he was town.
Can you explain what you mean by more organic and what contrast was present that helped you think he was town?In post 76, Looker wrote:

i felt like votato was being disingenuous in the early game when he voted me "as RVS" but then revealed that it was because of my reaction to Isis. That wasn't RVS for me, and that felt like he was lying about it being RVS so he seems less suspicious. He had the feel of scum trying to hide under the facade of shitposter to excuse their actions. I realize now that it could be a legitimate POV so I'm dropping it.
Also there's a trend of people sheeping people. Is it relevant that we're in a VCA-heavy game and people seem to be picking up on the behavior more often than usual?-
