I was correct in my reasoning, Vex and Bambi both have extremely scummy Town metas that I am going to be hesitant to jump to conclusions about this game. Vex's reads on me make absolutely no sense and in every single way even on reread feel like scum latching onto any excuse to frame me.

2) i don't feel dumb at all about it. i still stand by my reads in that last game from what i knew at the time.

Bingle said that reroll happened, because town lovers were able to cross confirm themselves. I said that mafia also had lover chat, so it shouldn't happen. He still argued but i dislike to talk with him, so we just ended up with 3 posts in total.

I began our lovers chat with a riveting conversation with T-Bone about the achievement goal theory of motivation. I wasn't expecting much other than '???' in response, but to my surprise, he responded with meaningful consideration of my points and proposed an alternative to the ideas I set forth in my initial post. I told him this caught me off guard and that if he was actually knowledgeable about the subject, he was probably going to realise that I only like 30% knew what I was talking about. Then he admitted that he had just googled 'achievement motivation theory' and used that to respond to me, and that he wasn't interested in talking about that anymore. Could've fooled me tbh! Then I said I thought we'd have an easy enough time showing that we're town, and the true challenge here would be solving between the three VTs. And before we got further in our chat the game started.

Anastasia basically was posting about last game and nonsense in reply to me but she did agree with me one some things.

At first I asked who she was scum with since she mentioned that at the start, I was shocked she was scum but I didn't chat that much.

After she mentioned about how much she misses Kerset, I posted that I probably can't read Vex (you) and Bambi very well and also that I was curious if she knew some tells Kerset has, to which she replied with 2 sad gifs, such as the one she posted and this:


She didn't actually post many songs at all, she posted the 'almost lover' song though. I think she is essentially just trying to troll me.

One thing she did reply to and agreed with me is that Llama is very difficult to read, though what she replied to was me asking her how to read Llama since I didn't seem to understand what he did that was scummy (except overplaying his position of towniness and demanding we vote in VTs instead of Lovers knowing full well that he'd win the vote-off as things were then, which I said in the game).

I also said that I think I can read Bingle somewhat well and it comes down to the quality of Bingle's questions most likely as well as the logic used, though I don't think Anastasia was paying attention to most things I posted at all.

Mislimming a lover then a VT without hitting scum in between also loses us the game. Once we lim in a group, we absolutely have to catch the scum in that group before moving on.

That's why townhunting is a strong strategy this game. If we can hard identify a town player in a pool, we can afford to lim the rest of that pool.

Also, wrt which pool we lim in first, it really doesn't matter. The argument that limming a hydra risks losing more voices is hard countered by the fact that if those voices are going to be the lim, they probably aren't going to be listened to anyway.

Lets say no choice. You go to bed with this exact current vote count. Wake up with enough votes to be eliminated but surprise you are awarded a vengeful shot, who eats it?

there are three potential kills, with two different interpretations of the vengeful role:
- i die as soon as i kill someone
- i don't die, and i'm confirmed as town (wnaf vengeful)

if its the first, i re-read, and then shoot either you or bambi. it depends on how townie i feel bambi is.
if i feel bambi is town, you die. if not, she dies.
if it's the wnaf vengeful, where the elim doesn't actually go through, and i'm given a vengeful shot - kerset always dies. the fact i don't die confirms me as town, and i remove the pair i think is currently scum.

You can read Bambi better than me
You have no read on Bambi
You do not want to go for a VT today
If you had to right now you would vote me over Bambi

Assuming all of that is true, when do you feel that you would be able to read Bambi?

Also an aside... change skin color when on an alt. That helped me in the past.

i don't know if you can read bambi better than i can. i'm assuming you can because me and bambi's playstyle are very simliar.
i currently have no read on bambi, because bambi hasn't done very much that i remember.
i do want to go for a vt, for the same reason lovers want to go for lovers today—it's a 50/50 fmpov

also, i play on mafsepia on alts, mafsilver on hydra accounts, and mafblack/scumobile on my main account. it's just a matter of posting from my phone while walking home and trying not to fall into a ditch.

Given this, I think the real question Llama wants answered is why haven't you been trying to talk to Bambi in order to sort her?

because i simply haven’t had the motivation to actually try this game thus far, plus i work close to 40hrs/week and end up sleeping most of the day when I get home, so my time on the forums is limited

@llama if everyone/mostly everyone agrees you’re town, i’ll go along with it because it means it’s less effort for me, meaning the time i actually have free to read the game isn’t spent on other things

also, wrt time constraints, why would i lie about that to influence a game of mafia? yes this is my try-hard account, but i’m above trying to use things like that. not to mention i’m relatively certain i have actually mentioned on the site before my irl circumstances since it did lead to me siteflaking at several points. i will not answer anything further on this topic until post-game either, and i will likely only answer it in speakeasy, because i don’t want this to be publicly available unless i make it that.
