I kinda think Notty is town? I liked that he appeared to stop and do some meta skims when he saw something that pinged him. It was well telegraphed too, like he voted in 82, made a comment about meta diving in 109, then largely disappeared from the thread for ~20 mins, before coming back with a new take on Taly in 122. That 20 min thread break would be an impressive touch if faked.

I am having a hard time sorting Taly, just because every post she makes seems to either misunderstand the post that is directed at her, or she is responding to posts directed at other people. I am not sure how to sort constant misunderstandings tbh.

Your approach to the game feels bespoken from just responding to what interests you. You had a small interaction with notty back there but I don't feel like I got anything out of it. My meter on you was a bit of a face-check in some regard, because I think that you are a very reactionary player. Maybe even a little sensitive. This is why you begrudgingly accept when I go 'I guess Luke is town this game' but it's more than that. I feel you're quite receptive too, which is not entirely similar to reaction. You're receptive in the manner you see something going on and your first response is 'ok, here's what I think is going on here and my thoughts add to it.' I think it's especially rare these days for scum to be at the forefront, as scum behavior has mostly trended with just trying to blend in. When a scum does have a high postcount, it's out of necessity. Or plainly-- they think it's something they could be townread for. Nobody who is active is really pinging me for 'necessity' but I also wouldn't say that I feel entirely comfortable. I'm just a natural skeptic.

I think players ebb and flow on activity and I'm less into reading them on how active they are but what they do with their time? If they're active a lot, and fuck around a lot but then pull out reads and do shit, it feels like they're progressing the game state. It's not different to someone who is barely around, but when they post they similarly progress the game state.

I think activity is a good way to look at see if people are ducking away from hard conversations and hoping things blows over but again that's like... intentful action and "why is X doing Y" which is... pretty standard?

I just got out of a game where pretty much a PList of 21+ people all townread me and were practically eating out of my hand. They eliminated townies for me as I twisted the narrative while hinting at reality. It was probably the most synchronized play I've had ever. Something in me just clicked, and I think I'm capable of doing something like that again.

Why should I be paranoid before I'm even proven wrong? What does it gain to wishy washy over my instincts as they are now? Will I be paranoid if we hunt down townies and I worry you've pocketed me? Yeah, but the "hunt down townies" part has to come first.

I think this a good thought. You're producing a lot of stuff I agree with. If I didn't agree with you I probably wouldn't even be trying to converse here. Okay, so your feeling is that Luke is being skittish, because he's worried he'll give something away. He's staying on the edges of what is safe to say, and using that to dance away from danger and find his footing.

So in this worldview, Luke would have asked Peta and I about leading him as a way to gather two strong shields he could have pitch solving ideas at him, and then take the one he likes best and run with it and sink his teeth in there, having backup from a louder more aggressive player if he gets questioned on it.

And because he got rebuffed by you from that, he's been scrambling to find another entry point.

I'm not a disbeliever that disposition where you are in life doesn't affect your play. We try to not talk about it, but it's there. His flat tire situation brought about a string of posts that I felt were hard to fake. Had a lot of believable follow-up in thoughts before he was stranded. I have a good understanding of Dunn. I've played with him multiple times but I can't say my read on him is one I feel proficient in. Sometimes he eludes me early and I catch on, other times I convince myself he's scum for his lack of communication. He's an island when it comes to his play, but eventually he'll lead with something decent. He hasn't really done that, and at this point I expect him to stay the same. He's the type of scum who manages to sneak past the day for being obstinate half of the time but teasing just enough to where you think something could be going on.

What's more, Dunn probably wouldn't let Him/Luke pick the same number. You are correct in that, but it's for the wrong reason. It also misinterprets the ordering of my list which is pretty much town | various shades of null and leans | i would vote here / scum. This can be backed by previous lists I've made in other games if you need more.

My issue with Luke was always at the forefront of his lack of dedication. His giant post observing not only my interaction but StD's and how it correlated with his own read was enough for me to back off. There's a lot of prefaced 'but capable players can d-' and I'm just like yeah they can do a lot of things and I know for one that even though someone is capable of doing a wall like that as scum, I also know that people have some sort of deadly combination of hubris and laziness.
