And I didn't even think about that. I just saw who do you want to be scum with and I assumed mafia. Your argument is partially right in that my mindset is that only mafia exists as a scumteam, but that's because I've only ever played one game with multiple scum teams and they were both differently named mafia. I've never seen Werewolves before.

Also I don't get the connection with the "he only thinks of mafia as being the only scumteam" to "he must be in the mafia". I don't see a logical thought process there.

Ugh what is this? OOTN sounds like a cornered townie imo. Slandaar's pressure is good, but it's coming close to confirmation bias imo. I played with him before and the meta is fairly similar, which is null, but gut gives me a slight town read.

Slandaar I can see where you're coming from. Leaning town imo. But your read conflicts with mine in that what you see as scummy, I see as town. Not the best play, but town nonetheless.

@ Asher: my gut has served me very well in the past, as well as my metaing. I know how to use both. I'm not going to be right all the time, but more often than not.

When I bring up Thomith's meta, it's because he's playing fairly similar to that previous game. The fact that he flipped town in that one gives me a gut town read. Also, POE is another way of scumhunting, and something I've been trying to integrate to my skillset.

Regarding pressure, I believe it's you being short-sighted. Well not short-sighted, but more not considering both sides of the coin. Sure pressure can be imposed in the long term by questioning statements made, but why wait for that when you can pressure now? Furthermore, shouldn't early pressure provide you with more ammunition for late pressure as scum crack and flail?

Anyway I played NY142 with Slandaar and as soon as he got wagoned he pretty much rage quit and then gave up. He was a VT. I wanted to see if he did that, then he would have been town. If he did something else, he would have been scum. But by ignoring it I don't really get that good a result. I'm going to write that off as gaining a little scumpoints for ignoring the vote, especially when everybody else (well Thomith and Asher) were mentioning it.

Sorry I can't buy that claim. My head hurts but really that seems more likely a werewolf trying to get the real Seer to CC. Claiming seer now would be useless. There is no town motivation to this because no protection means that he's dead anyway. Better leave us a nightkill we can analyse, instead of one that we know is going to happen imo.

In the event that Slandaar is actually the Seer (which is like 25% likely imo):
Not lynching him gives us a 5/11 chance to hit scum. While that is looking good, the only issue with that is we don't get any extra info if Slandaar is killed (not too bad), or if Slandaar isn't killed we get introduced to WIFOMcity. Sure we get one result from Slandaar that is confirmed with our lynch of him but chances are we'd get "no werewolf" (9/11). Thus the benefit is minute.

If we do lynch him, we learn from the NK at the very least, don't have to deal with WIFOM. At worst we will have lost two townies.

However I believe that was more likely to be a werewolf fakeclaim by Slandaar(75% likely from my POV). The benefits to lynching him are obvious, while not lynching introduces all the WIFOM mentioned before.

Also I would like to add that kondi is probably Slandaar's buddy. So if you're the Seer (ie Slandaar is fakeclaiming), kondi is a good target imo.

Om still reads like flail-hard town. I'm null on almost everybody else atm, will reread and make notes. If I missed any questions directed at me, sorry. Please ask them again preferably in 12 or so hours because I'm going to be travelling for a while.
