General Gameplay and Etiquette:
1. You may not quote private Moderator-supplied information (either real or fabricated) of any kind. Paraphrasing (for role claims, etc.) is acceptable.
2. There is to be NO personal communication outside of the forum postings unless your role PM specifically allows it. Mafia members may communicate at night and during the confirmation stage.
3. If you have a role with a Night action your choices are due to me by the posted deadline. If I do not receive your choice via PM by the posted deadline you will forfeit your actions.
4. Roles with Night actions will not be able to submit an action on Night 0 (i.e. during the confirmation stage).
5. Any player with a Night action may instead submit a “No Action” PM to let the Mod know that you do not want to perform your expected action that Night phase.
6. As a general rule you should aim for one post every 48 hours, minimum, to keep the game moving.

Voting, Deadlines, and Player Death:
1. A simple majority of all living members must agree on one person for a lynch to occur prior to deadline.
2. Once you have reached a simple majority no further unvoting will change someone’s fate.
3. Once a player is lynched the game enters twilight until I post a death scene; all players including the one who was lynched may continue to post during twilight.
4. Please submit votes as:

Vote: PlayerName

or VOTE: PlayerName. Votes will NOT be counted if they are not bold! Obvious abbreviations or nicknames will be counted so long as they are unambiguous.
5. Please submit vote revocations as either Unvote: PlayerName or Unvote. Unvotes are not necessary before changing votes.
6. You may Vote: No Lynch - a simple majority of these vote types are required to send the game to Night phase without a lynch.
7. This game will have 3 week deadlines. At deadline, the player (or No Lynch) with the most votes will be lynched. In the case of a tie, the tie breaker will be the player who has the first active vote on them. Should there be no active votes at deadline no one will be lynched.

Miscellaneous/Mechanics:
1.

2. If you have an issue/problem with the game, please PM the Mod privately. Do not post issues/complaints in the game thread.
3. The Mod may make mistakes - please point out any mistakes gently. Mistakes will be corrected where possible, but sometimes mistakes are made that cannot be reversed. These will stand as final to be commiserated over after the game.
4. Please bold all requests to the Mod so that they don’t get missed.
5. Prods of missing players will be issued automatically after 72 hours of no activity or upon request after 48 hours of no activity. A prodded player has 48 hours to respond or risks replacement. A player who has been prodded 3 times is subject to replacement without further notice.
6. Rule violations will be dealt with according to their severity, up to and including a Modkill.

Flavor

There is trouble brewing in Paradise Grove. Crystal McKnight, the young great-granddaughter of the founder of the city has been found dead. It seems there are some bad guys in town and the mayor, RachMarie, put together a committee to find out what is going on. Unfortunately for Paradise Grove and the mayor, 2 of the bad guys are on that committee.

Your job is to figure out who they are and lynch them to save Paradise Grove from the Mafia infiltration. To help you with this quest, you have a couple of powerful allies. One is the local jailkeeper who can help prevent someone else from getting killed, and another is a long time wilderness expert and tracker. He (or she) can hide in the shadows and spy on the mafia in your midst.

Role PMs are out and Day 1 will begin when I have 7 of 9 confirmed.

As evening settled on Paradise Grove, everyone tired of the bickering and finally voted to lynch Kondi. Some were sure he was a mafia infiltrator, others just knew it was getting late and a decision had to be made so they voted for him. As they kicked out the stool from under him, Kondi convulsed and a card dropped out of his pocket. LS picked up the card to see it was a business card with the name Adrian McKnight Attorney at Law.

He showed it to the rest of the committee and a groan came from Om, who had cast the final vote for lynching Kondi, who said "oh GREAT we killed a townie AND the mayor's cousin. Jal commented, "well Shakespeare did say kill all the lawyers. LS looked at Jal with disgust and stated, "there you go again." Vijay piped up with, "Stop it you two what is done is done, let us get some sleep and start fresh in the morning."

Over the day the discussion about who the mafia infiltrators could be became very volatile at times. Even though they had all day to decide, around 2 PM they made up their mind they wanted Lastsurvivor to HANG. Quickly, the votes started coming in and finally Gunny placed the last vote and it was over. LS screamed obscenities at the town as they lynched him, yelling I am the tracker you dumbasses!.

As he gasped his last breath and twitched, the spell he used to disguise himself so no one would recognize him wore off. Instead of a young man, he took the form of a much older man who had clearly lived a hard life out in the wilderness. A card fell out of his hand and Jal picked it up. It said Uncle Jake McKnight Tracker for Hire. Jal screamed I told you we should have watied longer and discussed it more. He did not even get a chance to defend himself and let us know he was the tracker. A groan came from the rest of the town as the mayor RachMarie stood in shock next to the body of her great-uncle. She took a deep breath and said tomorrow is another day, and I hope you do better, I am running out of family members here and Paradise needs you to find the mafia.

Now onto business at hand to find those mafia infiltrators....

It had been a long, boring session and it seemed like most of the council slept or played with their cell phones instead of focusing on the decision at hand. Very little discussion happened. Tvk stated I jailed Gunny and that was why there was no death last night. No one really disagreed with him, but they did not agree either, instead the town seemed rather apathetic. Vijay suggested not voting at all this day, which was met with the same general lack of interest as lynching someone.


Finally as the sun dipped down toward the horizon, votes started piling up on Gunny. He needed just one more vote and no one seemed willing to post it. Finally, Gunny said, "I see how it is Fine I will vote for myself!" As he hung on the tree and gasped his last, the glamor on him ended and they saw that he was not what he had seemed to be. The mayor shouted, "I know him! That is Carlo Lorenzo who is wanted for several murders in another town. Good job you finally found one of them. They all went to bed that night quite happy.

After a long, cold night everyone woke up feeling sure that it would be another night with no kill. They had congratulated themselves on getting the one and figured they were home free now. Unfortunately Tvk picked the wrong person to jail that night and was found lying in a puddle of his own blood just outside of the door of his bedroom. With the glamor gone, he was revealed as Kenneth McKnight, the mayor's father. As the dawn breaks and everyone trudges in the meeting room to discuss and vote there is an air of despondency.

After much apathy with it down to the wire, SB and Jal decided to point fingers at Peregrine. They discussed all the suspicions they had and kept coming back to how Pere behaved especially with the known mafia.

As the day came to a close they voted to lynch Pere. As he hung from the tree and gasped his very last breath, a shimmer of glamor died and he was revealed as Antonio Bandici, a known killer and leader of the mafia. The mayor was overjoyed and hugged the two remaining townies. The glamor on them shimmered away to reveal.. Kevin McKnight (her remaining brother), and Patrick McKnight, (her cousin).

Thanks glad ya all liked the flavor. It was fun modding the game. I would have liked a bit more activity, but other than that it was a good game and could have gone either way so was well balanced. It definitely is different being a mod instead of a player and knowing all the cards and watching from the sidelines to see how people play those cards. I plan on doing more and next time will be able to be more organized with it since the internet issues and other issues are starting to get under control.
