by my unofficial head votecount loks like the largest wagons are btwn pecan and rach, willing to vote either one as this is desperation time and i don't particularly have a townread on either, but this guy managed to make a wallpost that was a lot of hedging nonsense and is basically just trying to feel out which wagons he can safely jump on

VOTE: pecan

also don't really give a damn about PRs

BK201 is town now, btw. draft logic, same number as pecan.

In post 774, pieceofpecanpie wrote:Read my #696, I'm looking at Cobbler, andrew, Hoopla, Jal, Venmar and Elmo for scum potential.
willing to bet that at least one of these is a partner, also. pecan strikes me as a cliche enough player to distance so predictably. venmar is town, so that leaves {cobbler, andrew, elmo}. makes elmo's vote at deadline look pretty bad.

it's called chainsaw defense, it happens quite frequently, it is used to indirectly defend a teammate who is being attacked by a townie by attempting to discredit that townie

no one here knows enough about PYP to consider doubling up, the only people experienced enough to consider that were hoopla (dead, town) and iamausername, and i'm town, so that's right out. not weathering any theories about him being scum.

Well yeah, that's a hypothetical. The point is that we don't know why she was killed or killed her. I gave the example of a vig killing Hoopla because it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility for a town-aligned vig to shoot Hoopla. Meanwhile, a mafia-aligned vig's kill would essentially be the same as a mafia kill.

- Arugula makes sense as scum just because you have said that.

- More seriously, a scum vigilante is actually a pretty strong role, and then there is the mystery of what has happened to the scum factional kill, because I don't see why they would no-kill the first night.

scum can use both the factional kill and the vig kill on the same night, so unless you think arugula is playing some backwards gambit where he's trying to get us to mislynch based on someone saying something he couldn't have planned on and then use the double kill night 2

idk i just can't see him claiming the way he did as scum

arugula isn't scum and definitely not scum with cobblerfone

little bit torn here actually

even if one of cobbler/rach is scum, by the nature of their claims they have to keep clearing people if they're left alive. not sure lynching one of them is the best play today given that we have 3 mislynches available

Not snipping, peta. I'm just saying that if they are both scum their roles are a perfect way to discourage town from lynching either of them. To make town "hope" that at least one or both are town, thus ignoring any perceived scumtells in favor of giving them a chance.
We really have no choice but to give one a chance but I want to eliminate the role having the greatest level of WIFOM, thus my preference for a Rach lynch.

eh. if they were both scum they'd still end up being suspect for living and would have to clear players. doesn't make a difference from my POV

That you even think a guaranteed PR can be used as an immediate sacrificial lamb because of some alignment hocus pocus that you've crafted is highly questionable. I can certainly appreciate that draft order should offer no lynch immunity, but gee how could anyone be so confident to burn a PR on the first Day unless it's scum burning a townie.

right, so.

BK201, Contrapposto, Klink, and Venmar are all pretty much town beyond a shadow of a doubt in my eyes right now, which means this game should be wrapped up fairly easily.

uh are people on crazy pills? are they forgetting the way arugula claimed? that he basically forced the lynch toward cobbler, when there was no pressure on him otherwise?

VOTE: fitz

it's not klick. I seriously don't get why he's being voted. fitz makes a lot more sense as scum based on cobbler loldistancing and fitz trying to get any sort of counterwagon rolling because no one wants to be solo mafia when town has 3 mislynches left.

Not really going to hear out anything about speculative jailkeeper targets - people make crazy and irrational decisions sometimes and it just looks like fitz is reaching for a reason to clear himself

He shot hoopla. Even with that, though, he'd either waste his shot as mafia when they could get a double kill, or save the shot, but that would be worthless if he then bussed on day 2. Which, seriously - read arugula. tell me he could be cobblerfone's partner.

Basically, you guys are basing him off as town through a mist of pure WIFOM, and I think you guys seriously should cut it out.

I don't, tbh. Maybe I'm giving him less credit than he deserves. But seriously, have you re-read arugula?

venmar, hoopla's reasoning for seeing elmo as town strikes me as flimsy meta-reasoning at best, and tbh i don't think he's the most attentive or engaged player as scum - forgetting about the game's entirely plausible if you're not looking forward to playing it

on top of that, just red his iso. seriously.

admittedly it is POSSIBLE that arugula could have pulled some insane gambit to bus cobbler because he felt like he had a better chance of making it to endgame but it really doesn't seem PLAUSIBLE to me unless i've majorly overlooked something

he's softclaiming doctor, probably. i.e. he targeted hoopla night 1, and the only way she could have died is if she got shot twice or if his protection was redirected to someone else, and i'd wager mafia wouldn't randomly redirect someone. So andrew is essentially clearing Klick. So just sack up and hammer elmo and we can all go home

what the VCA snapshot misses is that wagon falling and the rach wagon rising but you can see elmo gets off and is pushing a go-nowhere vote on BK201 while venmar stays on and I swing a majority onto the pecan wagon and off the rachmarie wagon.

but yeah I have to say this pretty much makes venmar look town here seeing as he'd be pretty suicidal to hard-bus his other remaining partner on day 2 when he didn't even know what other PRs were in play (I think the vote came before the MC, need to check)

well, i wasn't going to kill elmo and it didn't you were basically confirmed town where venmar wasn't (even though, my god, he was so obvtown i can't fathom why that happened)

i dunno, rough game. town made a lot of mistakes i think. that deadline no lynch at the end really hurt things. and yet - the 30 minute no lynch at the end nearly screwed me, because i didn't get to submit a kill in time (i absolutely hate no killing as scum, i prefer the instant resolution that lylo brings). glad no one picked up on that, i guess.

you didn't get lynched. I NKed you. there was 0 chance you were getting lynched and it was autoloss to not kill you as the last scum remaining. if andrew had protected you this probably would have been a town win
