Basically the case/reason for them being scum has to be 20%(yeah that's a made up percentage) greater than normal for me since if they are NOT scum we mislynch a PR probably or force them to claim. Yes it also means if we lynch scum up there they are likely a PR, but still.

The benefit scum gets from a PR is roughly equivalent to the benefit a townie would get from the same PR (or set of PR's), so having a PR isn't an excuse.

We're not going to take potshots at the town/scum pr pool. A good case/reason(s) are effective though.

In all the PYP games, of all the players who ended up selecting a unique number, 6 of 19 (31%) have been scum, as opposed to 15 of 74 (20%) being scum on all other duplicated numbers. Those numbers alone show so often scum are at or near the top. If anything, we should be
more
inclined to lynch top drafters, not less.

Something I've learned about statistics is that they often sound more dramatic than they are. This is because we forget about the percentage out of the general population. Scum generally make up 25% of the game, so 31% with a small sample size isn't exactly impressive.

I see it as counter-momentum to Cobbler lynch if that makes sense; As if Pecan felt now was the time to get serious.

Pecan was an 8 so... if Arugula is scum then both 7's and all the 4's can't be scum or it would be 6/7/8 or 4/6/8.

That means if Arugula is scum then either Cobbler or Andrew have to be scum with him. I am very confident in my town read on Andrew based on interactions with Pecan.

- Rach has claimed JK and has claimed no night action. Unless Andrew is the Doc, then Arugula or Rach are scum.

@Andrew - I was thinking this was a scumslip, but after I posted it I realized it could also be a not-paying-attention-as-town ,which fits the rach standard slip.

Rach's wording implies she is agreeing that it is likely that the Vig also targeted Hoopla. Which means she was not paying attention to Arugula's claim and therefore just implied scum killed hoopla, while only speculating the possibility that the vig also targeted Hoopla. However I don't have much faith in this and I'm not going anywhere with it.

Arugula has claimed 1-shot vig and said he killed Hoopla last night. Since his was the only kill last night, for Arugula to be town that would mean somehow mafia's kill failed via Doc/JK/1-shot Commuter.

-There is no Commuter b/c I picked Watcher.
-There is no Doc. (There may be a scum Roleblocker claiming VT but that is unrelated to the success of the mafia NK)
-Rach, the claimed JK, has claimed no action last night. (There is a chance she is lying scum, but that wouldn't explain scum's lack of NK)
-There is the chance both mafia and Arugula killed Hoopla, but I think this is unlikely.

Rach, there is only 1 guaranteed PR in this set-up....8 are possible though. We have 6 claimed and/or confirmed via death.

And I'm not touching the 4's today and probably tomorrow, they are the biggest pool of town even if there is one scum in there. I also think Andrew and Venmar are town.

I have scum pinned down to Cobbler/Arugula/Rach with an outside chance one of the 4's is scum.

BK makes an excellent and undeniably true point, and I certainly don't see it as an excuse to save himself or weasel out of things.

You pick on the top of the draft order Day 1 what will you get? A PR claim or a fake PR claim. Now that could make for some great discussion down the track, but it would be bad juju to go ahead and force the Day 1 lynch regardless. This could have been for town points, but it could also have been to direct us away from Cobbler. Also makes me think there is at least one more scum in the top 4 since he wants to lynch from the lower half of the draft order.

Also, Pecan stated suspicion of Hoopla for much of the phase, yet he never voted Hoopla. He kind of felt it out instead. However after Hoopla and Jal vote Cobbler in #524 and #525 respectively, Pecan finally joins the Hoopla wagon in #526. I see it as counter-momentum to Cobbler lynch if that makes sense; As if Pecan felt now was the time to get serious.

This is what we should do.

Which most probably clears all of the 4's and 7's, otherwise scum picked 4/6/8 or 6/7/8, which does not seem random thus less likely scum picked it. (Hoopla covered this topic well if you want the full version)

This means Arugula can only be scum with Cobbler or Andrew. I am certain Andrew is town, so that means Arugula would have to be scum with Cobbler. I'd much rather start with Cobbler who I am already very suspicious of than Arugula who can only be scum with Cobbler.

Yes, Cop has no benefit for scum except for the fact that it stops town from getting a Cop.

However, as you should know since you picked a role yourself and have went into detail about why you chose JK over Tracker, you also quoted the possible roles not that long ago. You should know that cobbler-scum claiming cop means he actually picked the other role, 1-shot Redirector.

I know scum sometimes fake-claim...I think it would be a very very poor move to in this situation since at best the real Cop gets lynched, Cobbler gets lynched the next day, and then there is only 1 scum left.

And Rach, it doesn't really matter who you jail if Cobbler lives. You are the only other claimed PR that is still active, (arugula and I have claimed to have used our 1-shot, if we're lying then we're scum anyways) so assuming Cobbler hasn't used his 1-shot on night 1, he would use it on you and redirect your power to someone who isn't scum and someone who they aren't killing that night.
