Not a fan of #114-#119. Mehdi starts off expressing a common enough opinion (absta is being attacked by scum reads thus more likely to be town), then when pressed, then when pressed explains it by referencing double-bussing, which is just bad and ridiculous and unnatural.

All I can say is that I was barely around day 1, so (I hope) it's understandable that I didn't want to bring up things people had already discussed ten pages afterwards just to say "I also think this". I think I did say a bit later that although I found Piggy independently scummy, I doubted she and Sixty were partners - not sure if that was before or after Sixty's actual flip.

I don't think Tammy's posts were worthy of the reaction that we got from Sixty. The reaction was disproportionately harsh considering the initial behavior in question which makes me believe that it was at least partly, if not wholly contrived.

It's because the sheer concept of that being the team requires a rather convoluted concept to how Day 2 went down.

How so? If you're scum and decide to do some off-beat counterwagon, then why not pick your buddy? Especially if you're going to jump on someone who followed you D3 - that's never going to be your buddy if you've set it up this way.

The best argument I can see is that Thor plotted the following;
1. Sixty will be definitely lynched.
2. Neither my buddy nor I should bus him.
3. I'll try to wagon up my buddy and feel really confident at least one town will come with my non-presented accusation so I can push him Day 3

With "off beat counterwagon", I meant the thing you were doing with a fake counterwagon to explore how people'd respond. Point 2. lacks all substance; bussing didn't really matter and N's actions were undoubtably determined mostly by the fact that Sixty was already at L-1 when he arrived to the thread. 3 is silly; if no townie follows you, that's no big deal.

I will if needed for a lynch, but otherwise I want thor lynched more then N. Not sure what you've read, but post 1177 gives the case on him (which is later argued) along with all the disagreement we've had since.

You could've bussed but that's a bit pedestrian. Trying something fancier is a perfectly legitimate option and there's certainly no reason why you wouldn't pick your scum buddy as your target.

We've had Jesse who barely posted on D2 onwards, Slimer who did nothing upon replacing in and now you who isn't saying anything in detail at all so your slot has literally been useless for a long time now. You need to change that; There's no reason for you to refrain from stating reads and reasoning behind them and you're more than capable of doing so.

Last time I had to deal with Oversoul and stuff we couldn't talk about, it was a really silly argument that I could've easily dismissed if I could've talked about it, so I can't say this convinces me.

The fact that the replacements had a reliable base of westeros + EM history was really the difficult part.

That's more of a general playerlist effect. I don't think "playing the hero"-type replacements are nearly common enough to be a problem (I often don't even check the game state apart from seeing who's still alive); the main issue with replacements is just that they can really ruin scum planning, especially when that involves getting a few specific mislynches.
