This still hasn't explained why you suspect Wanderer. That initial post was also 69, and nothing has changed since then?

nope. The initial read is a gut read on how he's starting out the game, but that wasn't something I wanted to pursue straight away. I still haven't seen anything with him that stands out. Otoh, other people are actively scummy.

You also mention Mario being scum, then comment on NM still being scum in 160, yet have done nothing to engage them, or voted them. Any reasons why not?

Because my tunnel is wide and accepting but cannot fit 3 people at once. I also find myself inconvienienced by the lack of triple voting abilities.

But this game is weird. Usually when scum try to blend in, they follow groups. So in a game with 5 out of how many we are you see more wagons than usual. Multiball games have more explosive voting. We have nothing of the like here. Half the game is waiting for something to happen, it feels. And idk, if something were to happen, I have a shortlist of people I'd want it to happen to.

how's this for a tunnel answer then. I don't do it, and people who say I do are whining. A tunnel is a disregard of the rest of the game to pursue a single person for a prolonged time. I've been all over the place, and tbf, that's my modus operandi anyway. To the point that at this moment 3 people are repeatedly asking me why I suspect them, and one is lurking so other people ask it for him.

What you believe or not is not really my concern. Because as far as I can tell, you don't have reads and you don't believe in tells, so why bother? You are voting me for pressure even, on page 10. Why?

Ok, two ways of approaching this. She (savant) is high but not highest on a lot of people's lists. I think she's scum. There's the danger that with possible nightkills or jokers like firebringer and simply a lot of scum around anyway, she might not be high enough on the list at any time. The second issue with people like that is that since mafia players are sheep, wagons tend to be a lot easier and convincing when there are 2 or 3 votes there already. That makes the situation for someone who's suspected but not lynch ready yet quite explosive, a page later you might see yourself lynched. Or in other words, I see an opportunity here, and I'm not sure how many there will be.

The other way around is the kind of scum she is. It's confident (hard to lynch) talking (hard to lynch) and reasonable (also hard to lynch). Not that it has a lot to do with actual scumhunting, motivation, or attitude towards the game which certainly irk me (and apparently others too, yay). Again, I'm happy to take my opportunities there.

Said it before, this game is weird. Multiball games are overloaded with scum, they should have explosive wagons. Scum's sitting on their hands this game, they are waiting and watching. They should have been on the wagons but clearly aren't, or the way the game went would have gone a lot different.

or in other words, a monkey can do the vc analysis. This game should have been volatile, with scum accelerating wagons. This game wasn't volatile, scum didn't wagon. Who's not on a wagon or who didn't shift with the suspicions during the day? Scum should be easily found.

I mean, I could go on a rant here about hydrae and how they have nothing to do with mafia, because this would be an example. Mafia in it's basis is a study on group dynamics. This is using outside influences (the concept of having two people on one account) as a tool to force that group process in your favor. Showing a new face in the hope for a fresh start or something.

post 268 makes shaddow less likely, vedith doesn't really work in the pairings and his day 2 no vote could be explained as scummy but probably isn't after all. If I had to go with it right now, I'd say hayato-fire are the remaining mafia. But this is a lot more fuzzy than the werewolf situation and the tells used more iffy just to get to a result.

well.

For one, deas wasn't a werewolf.

then I went over interactions in a couple of iterations. Had the benefit that I know jazz a bit, know anti a bit. Then looked at it from the other side, how other people interacted with them (tbf only the ones that I had still on the list at that piont). That left only a couple of players of which Klick already made the most sense and he was scummiest on his own as well.

Then tried the same for bella/ika, but couldn't cut down the group all that quickly so after doing that I looked at who within the remaining pool (because mafia is 3, we needed a pair still) had iffy interactions between them. Didn't still really help because fire went pretty much only on bella, had comparitively less interactions with the rest of the game. Well, with me, but that wasn't really helping. Anyway, last iteration of discerning who's the pairing for mafia really comes down to who the scummiest was in the group hayato-vedith-shaddowez with taking all that into account (and I had gone over everything 2 or 3 times here because as said, it was a bit murky) so that's iffy because really at that point you get in the area where scum are aware people are looking for such tells. But as said, if I had to guess now, it'd be hayato-firebringer for mafia.

So there's method to the madness, it's not 100%, but with todays knowledge it's as far as I could get, and as you can see in thread, I'm giving my life here in all likelyhood, so I might as well spill what I had.
