VOTE: shaddowz

Guy's a try-hard. 47 with the earnest "serious vote" tag, then in 52 he's super eager to justify his nothing.

STEP 1: "SERIOUS VOTE GUYS LOOK I'M TRYING"
STEP 2: "YES I THOUGHT A LOT ABOUT THAT VOTE THANK YOU FOR ASKING"

@kmd- shaddowz reads like a player who is making a showy effort to look like he's being useful, while not being useful. The way he (superfluously) notes that his vote is a "serious vote" in 47, then has a ready-made oh-so-casual response to justify it in 52. He's defending his right to be suspicious and cast a vote more than he's defending the vote itself. So, not so much a try-hard, as a faux-try-hard. Join this wagon.

fos:
AI
Yos
lucky

AI because I think lurker-hunting and meta-discussing RVS is a safe way out. He comes off worse in the exchange with Kop.
Yos, for similar reasons, because listing all the most active players and giving them "town reads" is a too good way to win friends.
Lucky for being a lurker and not really playing. And yes, I realize the irony in that reasoning, but I get a vibe from him that he's trying to be the casual guy in the corner who drops in every so often to say inoffensive things.

Also I forgot to mention rofl is town, even though he's openly trying to derail the lucky wagon. Which, by the way, does the lucky wagon need more juice, or what? Or should I just wait here until it fizzles out?

I like BBT's entry into the game. Particularly the questions pointed to AI. Town.

I note Yos' vociferous defense of AI in 151. My suspicion is that it makes Yos more likely scum and AI more likely town.

But I ask again... why is the shaddowz wagon going nowhere? He started lurking after I called him out, and nothing has happened since.

@mod

I'll be away from noon tomorrow until Monday morning. I may or may not have internet access during that time (I will try to check in at least once or twice, but don't have a smartphone so it's sort of a pain in the ass).

Can I proxy my vote while I'm away?

From what I've seen, 351 seems uncharacteristic for AI. So, not sure what that means yet, but noted.

rofl looks the better in this rofl/yos bickerparty. I could for sure see yos as scum at this point, though I'll wait for a votecount because I want to see who is on the wagon.

I liked a point BBT made about KMD being too calculating (too lazy to go find it again). I know at least a couple people were pushing a kmd wagon awhile back. Then it fizzled out. Though I have no sense whether it fizzled in a good way or a bad way.

I still think yos might be the better play (given the yos/AI interactions earlier) but it's time to apply pressure on AI. Also, Anen and rofl are my two strongest townreads, so I'm comfortable with this.

The other point I disagree with, is when you joined the YOS wagon, you claimed 'the best way to avoid a lynch is to stop talking'.

If you don't want to be lynched, the best way is to prove your worth, to show why you shouldn't be lynched. And if someone is put under pressure by questions, deliberately ignoring them, is going to get you lynched. It might just be me that thinks that, but I think keeping quiet, isn't the key to avoid being lynched.

Kop
, it seems to me that you took Lowell's comment way out of context, leaving off entirely the part about it won't backfire.

Eh, I think Kop just didn't pick up on the sarcasm here. Hard to believe he took my comment earnestly (as a guide?) but maybe he did. In related news, he's been gone awhile....

Still, Kop's long earnest case against me makes me think he's probably town. I think scum would be savvier, frankly. In any event, I've already got too many scummy people on my wagon, and I doubt more than one or two would jump on at the same time.

Don't really recall. I could iso myself but that's bullshit. I think I just had an early read on him as playing townish. But I'm starting to buy what ABR is selling, I think. And it does fit with what scum might do: (1) jump in early, get ppl to say you're town; (2) do nothing else; (3) win. So as I said I'll reconsider.

I was starting to come around to this too until I saw the votecount. You think we'd get 8 votes on scum? Usually seems like one of two leading wagons is scum, but not both.

kmd's case against me looks contrived as hell. "soft defense" of a besieged town player is not uncommon for scum. In fact, it's the most common thing there is. And I'm not just saying that because it's me. Though I would, of course. Anyway, moving on...
