You're playing your scum game like your town game? That's impressive, given that the win conditions are the complete opposite of each other.In post 906, texcat wrote:Oh so you're saying that I play the way I always play.

People think they do, but they don't. On the surface they may appear similar, but they are not.In post 910, acryon wrote:In post 907, AlwaysInnocent wrote:

Eh, I tend to play my scum games relatively similar to the way I play my town games. You only need to deviate when it's absolutely necessary.
Anyway, in this town game of Texcat, she seems to be much more actively engaged in the game (scumhunting). Maybe it's me, but I'm not seeing this right now."You've been furthering the win condition of the Mafia even better than the Mafia." - Dierfire-

The meta-argument is supplementary.In post 912, texcat wrote:I'm not sure I agree with that assessment, AI. I don't think a couple of random games makes a meta argument.
I'm also too lazy to read more games.
So you're saying you have an alibi?Especially when comparing activity over the holidays."You've been furthering the win condition of the Mafia even better than the Mafia." - Dierfire-

It's not just meta. It's the nature of the game. Different win conditions gives rise to different psychologies and mindsets, no matter how hard you try to mask your alignment.In post 916, acryon wrote:In post 911, AlwaysInnocent wrote:People think they do, but they don't. I don't agree, which is why is why meta is BS. People can put themselves in the town mindset as scum and play exactly like a townie easily for at least a day or two at the least since the odds are so against town in finding scum early on.
If this weren't the case, then every game would basically be pure RVS. That's not why I play Mafia."You've been furthering the win condition of the Mafia even better than the Mafia." - Dierfire-

I'm not. But lurking does contribute to your scumminess.In post 917, texcat wrote:You seem to be voting me strictly based on activity. I don't think that's a very good argument."You've been furthering the win condition of the Mafia even better than the Mafia." - Dierfire-

Lowell is probably town people.In post 924, Lowell wrote:I explained why I moved my vote.
Also I feel like I'm having this meta-discussion everywhere at once? Is it really your opinion that changing votes often is a scum move? Because my experience is that scum are less inclined to make enemies.
Or he's copying the meta-discussion from games where he is actually town to this game, but meh."You've been furthering the win condition of the Mafia even better than the Mafia." - Dierfire-

Is that addressed to me or tex? I hate when people jump in on questions I address to other people, so want to be sure before doing so.
Probably you.

Just another slight modification:
{AlwaysInnocent}
{Acryon}
{Roflcopter}
{Yosarian}
{KMD, Albert B.}
{Lucky2u, Texcat}
{Lowell}
{Aneninen}
{Shaddowez}
{BBT, Kop}
Because the more I read Kop's ISO, the more I read scum."You've been furthering the win condition of the Mafia even better than the Mafia." - Dierfire-

Good game, everyone!
So... basically I was insane lucky because Mafia shot ABR. I never thought he had targetted me. Despite everything, I'm content with my gameplay, since this has been my very first SK-game... Mafia was seriously out of luck, on the other hand.
RadiantCowbells, as I said, you don't have to blame yourself. You were in a terrible situation. Still, something has been paid back. ^_^
BTW. Why did you suggest that Lucky shot himself? Really, if there was any doubt about you being scum, then that would have removed all doubt. For some reason, people didn't see how suspicious that was."You've been furthering the win condition of the Mafia even better than the Mafia." - Dierfire-
