KTS's quickhammer, if scum, was actually very effective in its strategic purpose: i.e., make it more difficult to find Karnos's partner by shutting down any discussion this town could have had.

Luna or Smith getting ""towncred"" is not really that believable. Without their votes, the Karnos wagon probably would not have gone through, so I think a scum!Luna would have continued to push Phantom instead of move to Karnos. Smith was SR'ing Luna, so why not stick to that and try to buddy you?
