Voting early on in the game is critical to finding scum. By casting votes we create discussion and reactions. By these we find clues to who the scum is. Already we have an interesting situation with Curtain Dog. Discussion will hopefully pick up monday. I'll be interested to see what everyone else says.

It seems like CurtainDog is either, Trying to build a case against Ashes out of nothing. Or CD, thinking that I had found Ashes post to be suspicious felt the need to come to her defense. The later might suggest that they might be scum together. That's a big "might" but the two senarios together are enough for me to...

Two people have commented that they don't see a reason for a CD bandwagon. Since I am on of those on said bandwagon I feel I must rationalize it.

-Ashes makes a comment about not wanting to start "the random bandwagoning"
-I say that I will do it by putting my random vote on Asses

This is when things in my opinion get a little hinky.

I can see that CD might of thought that I had a reason to vote for her, but it was after all a random vote. This is what I think is suspicious about CD. He pegged her as doing something "strange" I read that as "suspicious". I think that

EITHER

CD saw Ashes newbie comment as something that he could exploit for a bandwagon.

OR

CD thinking that I had found something guilty in what his mafia partner Ashes said came to her defense by calling it a "newbie mistake". But keeping his distance by calling it "strange" This makes them both suspect.

If Ashes comment was in fact a newb' mistake then I think that a CD vote makes the most sense.

What I do mind is when some blatantly attempt to shift the suspicious nature of their buddies to others.

Which brings me to another point...
Why would you come to the defense of someone you do not know is innocent? Unless you know she is innocent! I do not know that for sure, therefore I do not trust this person.

That is a figure of speech. It often refers ot one who is kept from sleep due to anxiety or a guilty conscience. In this case I was refering to the anxiety that KIngPin obviously is experiencing over your newby-ness and something else that he is hedging about.

Thoth makes some interesting points.
-The definition of "mangle" may technically not imply cannibalism. I do think that in common use it is used to broadly refer to a horrible disfigurement, which could end up fatal. But, you are right that the mods use of a non-specific word like "mangle" leaves plenty of room for someone to find a good role claim.

The SK already has a very low chance of winning. Often the role is strengthened a bit by night protections and showing of as good in investigations

I do however think that if CD's assumption is right that the regular cops won't be able to find the SK that would answer your game balance problem.

It is also possible that CD it the SK. Saying that he is the only one that can find himself is kinda clever.

I'm going to re-read the thread and see if anything stands out to me.

Let me start by saying, I’m not writing Ashes off as innocent. But, I think that there is good reason to suspect KP and it has a lot to do with Ashes. KingPin’s determination to see Ashes hanged is quite strong. He has

never

given her the benefit of a doubt, as you would a newbie. Even those who are voting for her now have I believe at some point said, “Aww, she’s just a newbie.”

Ashes has made some mistakes that

could

be chalked up to being a newb’ and not understanding that everything she says will be dissected. I’ve seen a newb’ cop joke “you’ll never take me alive” I think that newb’s can take things too lightly sometimes.

I will say again, I am not saying that I know that Ashes is innocent. I think that KP has been acting guilty, and I see it in his attack on Ashes.

Some other reasons that KP looks suspicious…

He is just too familiar with scum win scenarios…

If that happened we would have 4 members of the town gone before we start our resistance. Depending on how many members there are in the scumdom we might be out numbered on day 3!!!

Ashes the fact that you are actually debating about whether mafia has tow kills suggests that you are scum. Think about it;
night 1 mafia kill 2
day 1 town lynches 1
night 2 mafia kill 2
day 2 town lynches 1

at what point do you think that scum would win? day two....
and then throw in a no lynch!!!!! come on.

I believe that he led the cop to do his bidding by posting this before macros was lynched.

2. The town has two killing groups. It would make sense to have only one cop that could find everyone. It would also make sense to have two cops that could find each of the killing groups only.
OTOH, It may be that he is hoping that the "true cop" investigates him tonight. Why? you ask! (good question) Let's say he is the the SK, he may have a choice to kill or not to kill. If he has this choice and he knows that he will come up as innocent the night he is investigated and does not kill, he will have the bennefit of the cop finding him as innocent. Interesting play really because it might cause the "true cop" to find the need to investigate him when there is a second kill. come up as innocent the night he is investigated and does not kill, he will have the bennefit of the cop finding him as innocent.

KP in so many convoluted words is telling the cop to investigate CD. I think that KP is the SK. Only he would know for sure that CD’s claim had any merit to it. The cop would likely investigate CD, KP could kill him and an investigation would be wasted.
