Everyone knows that confirming late is null because of wifom.Ythill wrote:
You forgot late confirm. I mean, if you're going to come out slugging, might as well cover all your bases. Fact is, I did read the rules but I was a little distracted because of this.Z wrote:He didn't read the rules, since he didn't know about the length of the days, and he's not paying attention to the mod's posts, since he thought it was Parama who had a problem with pre-game chatter.I have secret plans and clever tricks.- The Enormous Crocodile.-

To try to answer your question: I find that there is no reason to prolong RVS, and people spending a page making random or silly votes does little to help the town (by the end there might be a wagon on someone, but little meaningful conversation will have taken place). Making a vote that is game related, even a questionable one, has the chance of provoking a reaction that is better than OMGUS, so if it's possible, I think it is a better way to start the day.Ythill wrote:
In your case, I was curious which it was. In Z's, I'm trying to determine the motivation behind his mixed signals. Also, there's nothing better to talk about.Seol wrote:Why are you so keen that arbitrary early votes be labelled as such?
Caught scum on page 2, have we? Bravo.Anti wrote:This wagon is good.
VOTE: Antihero
Why?Z wrote:I prefer to use a reason for my RVS vote that is more closely related to the game

I was posting, went to sleep, woke up, and the thread's locked. How do you expect me to post more?Parama wrote: There is one scum in the non-poster group:

somewhere... but they need to post more so I can figure out which one
Also, why did you leave MacavityLock and Charter off the list? Up until that point, they too hadn't posted much.
If I was betting, I would guess that scum didn't push Antihero's wagon too hard; it would be too obvious for a day one play, so I would surprised if Ythill was scum. The same is true of Parama because of the hammer, but that said, I do not like how he changed his mind both on Antihero being town and on waiting for everyone to post before hammering. I definitely think his play's been scummy, but I'm willing to accept his soft-claim for the time being.
I do not like how either Charter or MacavityLock just hopped on to the wagon on Antihero, especially MacavityLock because he first asked for a claim, with flavour, without voting. I also find it odd that he didn't comment on Parama's claim.
Vote MacavityLockI have secret plans and clever tricks.- The Enormous Crocodile.-

I agree with Parama that bringing up serial killers can be a scum move to distract the town from scum hunting, so I'm leaving my vote where it is for now.
SK claiming vig is not too uncommon, so I am not sure if I trust Parama 100% at the moment, but his choice of RBT yesterday seems reasonable considering all we had to go on.
The arguments against Charter are nearly identical to those against MacavityLock, so I would be willing to vote for him too, if it came down to it, and nothing else comes up.I have secret plans and clever tricks.- The Enormous Crocodile.-

Because he had hardly posted and I didn't have a read on him. I also hoped that perhaps if he was scum that they would send him to do the kill because he had attracted so little attention so far.saporovirus wrote:Q for Zdenek: Why did you chose to track Edmund last night?I have secret plans and clever tricks.- The Enormous Crocodile.-

Saporovirus, I didn't track charter because even if he did nothing last night, I would still be okay with his lynch today, since he wouldn't necessarily have been the mafia member doing the killing.
As far as flavour goes, I've spent my life tracking big game for the rich and this experience might come in handy now.

I am still okay with a charter lynching today. There is little to go on in the game and he is player living I blame most for that.
Edmund strikes me as scummy: discredits parama, votes charter, asks me to claim flavour, which is useless (after there was a town statistician what could he have been hoping to learn?).
I think saporovirus is probably town.I have secret plans and clever tricks.- The Enormous Crocodile.-

I think the case on Charter is pretty obvious at the moment.Ythill wrote:I have an echo.
You didn't state any reasons why you think Edmund is scummy.
Explaining town reads is harder, but if you want, when Saporo writes
He is obvious writing from a town perspective.Town haven't lynched even one scum, so we couldn't win with the lynch today.
He also scum hunts.
I think this "I have an echo" business from you is slightly scummy: it's an attempt to softly cast doubt on me without doing any work.I have secret plans and clever tricks.- The Enormous Crocodile.-
