I agree that this trappy behavior is unpleasant. It doesn't seem helpful enough to compensate for the frustration, ignorance, and license to act scummy that all come with it.

just went back to iso my predecessor, in part to see what she thought about ffer. i didnt get a clear view on that except that she had a huge townpile and ffer was apparently in it. i find the super aggressive push on anem to be distasteful, and it looks like her super abrasive methods led him to feel defeated immediately. im going to look into that wagon a bit later to see if i find common themes in opportunism. the way layla death-pushed seems to be the type of thing that would attract scum to a wagon.

normally if i were to analyse a wagon on town, i would focus scrutiny on these two positions.


however, i noticed some interesting voting behavior in wicked that im not sure about. he showed on the tail end of wagons alot, and often ended up keeping his vote on the wagon after it started dying. not sure what to make of it as im not used to seeing that pattern.

at one point in this wagon, wicked occupied one of these two spaces... his vote ended up in no-impact spot at the end of the day. just thoughts. myt mind is wandering a lot atm

This post freaked me out at first because it looked like a townslip and I would find two townslips in two games played with SS too coincidental for me to be comfortable with it but not knowing public knowledge is pretty obviously not a townslip or an attempt at faking one in any way.

also, nacho hinted at RC being a scum power player... that almost confirmed to me that im on the right track but nacho seems to think that makes him town? see im thinking that either everyone who is having a weak showing is scum (dont think notsci is scum) or one of the town/scum powerplayers is scum (normal games of this size would normall have 3 right? i wasnt aware of any scum power players... its more likely that someone who should otherwise be off the radar and isnt would be a scum power player than a town power player because usually townsided players are see-through scum.

RE: pie... nothing stands out to me in comparison to last game. forest fire was actually a similar feel so far as how the momentum felt... with the exception of the beginning being a bickerfest. and with the exception of that prolonged bickering i find pies play here to be identical here.

when RC and notsci are interacting it feels like tvs, but that might just be me confbiasing

Boon's entrance was what pinged for me too. I didn't like that he walked in here with only the one read on Wicked and didn't lay out any other reads, and it didn't feel like he was actually trying to give a good explanation for said Wicked read.

I also entirely disagree that claiming something like bulletproof would suffice for a potential implo-SK in this situation. that's an entirely null claim and so it would do absolutely nothing to allow him to escape the lynch

ok here it is. started game blending (setup spec in idea mafia, obv move) and leaving innocent child bread crumbs. ended up taking charge of setup-breaking... and successfully interfered with a protown massclaim that would have won town the game. nowhere here did anyone doubt me for more than a couple posts

Besides, scum have to knowingly push town lynches for the majority of the game anyway. If you don't take credit for those pushes that you know are on town (as scum), then you come across as contrived. I don't think ns looks contrived here, but I do think he's insistent on others validating him so that he can spread the blame later. He won't make a move without someone else treading that ground in advance.

looking for validation is extremely common. 80% of people intuitively want to follow the lead of others, regardless of if they have opinions.

I think I'm also seeing there is less follow-up, more softballs/shallower pushes, slightly more content that isn't directly related to the game. All of that goes in my "tone" bin.
