Not at all. That initial response to me reads really weird. Having multiple reasons for saying he found something funny feels like a stretch.

So Simple's initial response to Johnny (post 31) definitely registered with me as a little weird. However, I didn't really see it as "defensive." I thought the specific reason he provided -- that he was leaving within his own ISO a note about a possible player relationship -- was kind of bizarre. Nervous/lying doesn't sound right to me Johnny, because like Optilex said in 32, he could easily have told us it was banter-y bullshit and moved on. If Simple really posted the way he did for the reason he says he did, AND he was willing to be completely transparent about it immediately after posting, why bother phrasing it the way he did? Why not tell us, "I'm noting possible distancing between MoSa and Johnny" right off the bat? It would benefit his ISO the same way, and it would have spared him the negative attention. I don't know, I just got this impression that Simple wasn't afraid of the negative attention, which is vaguely, slightly, just-a-bit town-ish? He's not reading as scummy to me yet, at the very least.

For the record I'm agreeing with Jake's vote on Dav, I'm just way against the idea of letting Simple off the hook when that garbage at Jester was his only defense.

I think A Simple Plan was in an impossible position here. If he wasn't elaborate with his post explanation you could have just as easily made the argument that either your questions were meant to be serious or that he was ignoring and is scummy. I don't think being overly explanatory is a scum trait, even if the post was a little bit strange.

While 'impossible' may be a stretch I'll grant that he did put himself in an unfortunate position if town.

I mean the way this breaks down is I didn't like post 25 and the explanation you've given as to why you made it looks to me like fiction. There wouldn't have been anything to 'set you up' about if you had just ignored the interaction between me and MoSa (which I let slide with a joke just two posts earlier when poop did it) or went all in on it (which I let slide just a few posts afterward when Jester did it).

What you ended up doing was what looked like a sad inbetween where you didn't want to take a side but didn't want to incur my wrath by not saying anything, so you settled for an empty comment. So, I played with Davsto in his last game, where he was scum. He reads differently from that game. I get the suspicion on his slot. His ISO reads artificial, mainly in his dealings with the ASP slot. But I'm not really interested in pursuing anything on it for now.

I think Stool was trying to avoid the Davsto lynch because he was his partner. I think he hammered at a terrible time to try to look like disgruntled town. I think Davsto only mentioned him once or twice because it's hard for some people to nonchalantly coexist with their scum partners. I think certain posts from him reek of trying hard to make cases happen away from Davsto.

And I think the most damning thing to you would be that today he's guilty of the same thing of which you're accusing Marvin: Voting the path of least resistance. Jester, then Fitz, now Marvin. Easy votes.
