Lynch lurkers? Perhaps as a last resort. Just because there are no power roles does not mean that townies will be more interested in this game. In reality, a lynch all lurkers approach to this game seems to provide scum with an exact blue print for making it to the end game. In the end, we will be just be lynching lazy townies with only a a sliver of a chance that we hit an especially dim scum.
On a side note, if I was scum that had no intention of lurking... I might suggest that we lynch everybody that does also.-

Good point. Also, @ deathsauce: How is pushing for a lynch a scummy thing?ryan wrote:And Lowell isn't?
I think destructor is justified in his response to you.
Here is my paraphrased summary of your contributions this game:
"...all I know is that tylerJ is suspicious b/c he is acting suspiciously and acting suspicously is suspicious."
"OMGUS destructor!"
Any threats, jokes are suggestions that you will be less active in this game than you already are should be treated without humor.-
pwayne, is there a reason for the complete unhelpfulness of your last few posts? Or maybe I'm reading them all wrong and they are actually helpful. Please let me know how, if this is the case.
You aren't wrong. Lowell, Elmo, ryan and fireaxe were all making me jealous with their complete unhelpfulness so I couldn't resist.-

...you think he would likely answer the questions if he only had more time?
As far as everybody else that hasn't posted: prod and replace. Elmo is posting just enough to avoid replacement but is very intentional providing zero content. He is not misunderstood. He is not being unfairly pressured. He has had ample time to post something. He has received plenty of warnings. He is blatantly phucking with us and it is decidedly anti-town.-

I won't disagree that there are reasons to be concerned. Whether or not Elmo's actions cause him to be worthy of lynch -1 is not one of those reasons.
This is the real cause for concern here. Are we wrong for the right reasons? I am hoping that Elmo clear this up soon, as it is clear that he has no problem posting content in his other games.Elmo's tag wrote:...wrong for all the right reasons.-

@deathsauce- what crowd have I been following?
@lowell- Who has apologized for attacking elmo?
@elmo- Post 169 was overblown but for good reason.
@tyler- Is voting for somebody all that is required to scumhunt?
@PEG- What about Elmo makes you "cool" with lynching him?
@Destructor- who are your top 2 scummy?-

Might no be a bad idea to share skruffs. If I'm scum-ryan or scum ryans' partner, you're dead tonight. Hell, if I'm scum-pwayne you are dead tonight.
Of course now, if I am scum anybody you are dead tonight as it looks like scum-pwayne or scum ryan killed you. Of course now that I have soured the wine in front of us, your death tonight means nothing... but to lynching...where are we at in the vote count?-

Thoughts on my quick read through:
1) Elmo and Destructor are not scumpals. Destructor's defense of Elmo when he was at L-1 proves this to me.
2) Destructor might well be 1/2 of a scumpal group. His inexplicable "Elmo has provided content" and other defenses of Elmo reeks of scum trying to "go on record as defending a doomed townie at the gallows".FOS- Destructor
3) Lowell has yet to answer for post 183, which has been the subject of a question from both me and Elmo. Lowell has indicated that he is fine at lynching annoying people (#29) and has pushed the Ryan wagon since the beginning while providing no reasons(#88 and #206)
4) Jester requires more attention in my opinion. He is by far, the wordiest posts of any other player in this game. He is either a wordy dude or he knows he audience well enough to know that we think reading sucks.
5) Jdodge and FlameAxe are the opposite by design.
6) PEG.-

No and No.destructor wrote:I didn't think Elmo was scummy. Did you? Do you, now that he's posting multi-worded sentences?
I don't feel inclined however, to react indignantly towards your protests about the elmo wagon. Yet you seem to think that a certain amount a leniency is due to you for your actions and that you should be immune from suspicion because of the favor you were doing us all.
*smiles and waves at skruffs*-

Somebody was going to die... If not you I would be pretty sure that you were scum.
Seriously though, it wasn't by design, but it retrospect, it worked out pretty well. The only way it would have worked out better is if they accidentally nked themselves or forgot to submit a nk, neither of which did my actions prevent.-

I don't remember considering the odds, it depends on who scum was and how ballsy they felt I suppose.elmo wrote:1), what do you believe the odds of me being lynched at that point were?
I meant that they were different from #4, jester. You are right though, FA and JD might as well be the same person.elmo wrote:I don't understand 5), either; in fact, they've seemed somewhat similar in terms of style now and when I've played with them before. How'd you feel they are different, here?-

Destructor, avinashv; you guys have once again broke the cardinal rule of dealing with these ass clowns by paying any attention to them what so ever. They thrive on attention like cancer to a cell, or like NASCAR to an idiot. Ignore them and they fade away... its like chemo for dumbasses... seriously. try it.-

No reason, I was considering it last night. I don't have any special reason to believe that he is scum, but he is not playing the game. That coupled with the fact that he may well be scum and how much the enjoyability of the game increases once he is gone makes me think voting for him is a good idea.
I will be seriously pissed if these guys skate through as scum just because we have all got used to not taking them seriously in anything that they do. I am sure that I will vote soon.-

pwayne as scum would have nked you without feeling obligated to WIFOM the situation one iota. You had already cleared my game play and nobody else here was in mini 499 that I need preapologize to, making my attempt to "WIFOM your death" decidedly anti- pwayne scum.skruffs wrote:pwayne as scum would want to kill me more than others in the first place after mini 499, so i was pretty suspicious of that.-

Lowell is a close 2nd as far as doing diddlydick this game. Isolate his posts if you like. Contentless posts every few days along with a couple of incidents of chiding other players for not following through with a lynch.
He has pushed ryan since he came in while providing no reason and has seemed to have a seat of every trendy wagon along the way. And he is under the radar.

destructor wrote:so what's the real issue here?pwayne wrote:His inexplicable "Elmo has provided content"...
No, the scrutiny you were under. When the FA wagon started, PEG, Tyler, myself and skruffs all expressed suspicions of you.destructor wrote:The scrutiny he was under?
When avinashv started pushing FA, it seems that you took the opportunity to capitalize the attention on FA by escaping scrutiny. When the attention returned to you, it seems to me that you feigned surprise and now seem to be trying to downplay the level of scrutiny you were under when you started pushing FA.destructor wrote: Opportunistic?? How?
Nothing has changed with the statement you have quoted.destructor wrote:And what happened to this, anyway?-

Interesting observation considering how skewed your perceptions must be to pick me out as being flippant in a line-up that includes Lowell, PEG, FA and JD. It is clear that my level of seriousness surpasses theirs by a great deal.skruffs wrote:PWayne's flippancy strikes me as nervous scum, too.
Methinks it is more likely that you want to gauge my reaction. Well...how did I do?-

...I see nothing inconsistent there. I am not ignoring it. I only have one vote. I don't think that lurking is an accurate scumtell just as I don't think that pressuring lurkers to respond is a scumtell. Do you think that I am voting for you because you are trying to pressure lurkers?
Mod:Can we replace Flameaxe and Jdodge please. Its been 5 days since they posted and then it was like pulling teeth. I think it is in everybody's best interest if they be left peacefully alone so that they can enjoy each other's company without our oppressive judgment of their lifestyle choices.-

I'm not.jdodge wrote:Why are you trying to replace people for no real reason?
Rhetorical or not, this was answered above.jdodge wrote:Is it to be a complete jackass?
Again, already answered... for giggles, what is it that you have indicated that you were onto that would require anybody to respond with fear?jdodge wrote:Are you motivated by a fact that you think I might be on to something?
What is this "it" of which you speak? I am 100% serious about this question.jdodge wrote:Is it that you feel that this will somehow make it better?
I have addressed this.jdodge wrote:Why are you voting destructor?
I have no way of knowing the answer to this. I might suggest you ask destructor.jdodge wrote:Why is destructor attacking you half-assedly while seconding your request?

I haven't thought about it, but in your case I would suspect OMGUSery.jdodge wrote:What is the true alterior motive behind asking for replacements?
If I told you it would no longer be alterior...jdodge wrote:You do realize that you're being as much of an ass that we are, right?
I do not realise this. If this is true I apologize to everybody.jdodge wrote:Do you enjoy being a hypocrite?
Sometime it can be fun. Other times not so much. Its a wash really.jdodge wrote:Is it somewhat of a hobby, or motivated by in-game factors aside from other players?
Hypocricy? I supose that people can engage in it as a hobby. Of course it can be motivated by in-game factors as well. I don't think the two are mutually exclusive really.jdodge wrote:Do you feel hypocrisy is a scumtell?
It can be.jdodge wrote:If so, why?
