Honestly, clearing someone based on weaponry is a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE idea.
My weapon also has a targetless altfire.
I guess it could do something different."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Well that's good. Shouldn't you be noting everyone's opinions.
Your opinion is noted.
I will, however, elaborate that I'm basing a little bit of that idea based on the marathon version of the game. The other thing I'm basing it on is Tar mod tends to not make things so easily breakable."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Though, we can tell when someone has gone to a health pod by the variations in their health.
How do you propose we do that? We can't make anyone go anwhere and we can't even tell where anyone is."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Nyeh, but bullets are less deadly here! Nyeh, I'll do what I do. I tend to anyway.
I'd rather everyone have at least one chance to say something scummy before we start shooting "randomly""Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Hey, that's what I mean too ^-^. It's just that I do randomly hit scum...randomly.And by "randomly" I mean the scum

Randomly shooting is a lot more fun though. And gives the scum a lot less information.
Randomly clearing people > randomly shooting people
So I'd actually have to disagree.

Randomly shooting a scum is a lot better than randomly clearing a scum. Further, randomly clearing people isn't really random, and will generally have a cause behind it. By randomly clearing people you are telling scum what pro town criteria you are looking for. It's why I dislike it when people do a full player list analysis and say X person is town. Why does randomly clearing people help scum more than randomly shooting people?"Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

But the idea is would only scum do it?More to the point, which is more dangerous to the town: having the scum shoot people "randomly" or having the scum clear people "randomly"?"Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

The other way it helps should be manifestly obvious. It also tells scum who to kill. Clearing townies is just an overall bad idea in my eyes.I completely disagree that clearing people is bad for the town. Townies clearing people really doesn't help scum all that much. It's not like you're just running on a program that says "X = scum" and once the scum know that program they can magically do X and fool you.
I'm still deciding on if it's his playstyle or what myself. And I think kison's on, let me ask him.Clearing people so early means 1 thing: Inside info!
Point gun: Xyl

What info does it give? Scum can say anyone is town and it's all WIFOM. Town can say who they think is town but it doesn't mean they're right.
I've heard the "it tells scum who to kill" argument before and I don't believe it. Yes, it's a downside, but how does it outweigh the benefit of more info to the town?
Personally, I think it actually causes dangerous blindspots that will end up biting someone in the ass."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Actually, it's a lot less of one. Saying you think someone is scum and pushing their lynch gives a HELL of a lot more information than saying someone is town and not touching them.
"I think X is town" is exactly as much a sign of inside info as "I think X is scum".
But did townies provide the same sort of lists? (I don't like reading games I'm not/wasn't in, to be honest). And what information was provided in those cases if so.
See Medieval Mafia where a scum gave a scumlist that included who he thought was town, and when he died we immediately caught a scumbuddy based on the scumlist.
(at this point, I think we've reached a game theory impasse that might go nowhere)"Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Well, obviously. So why should I play from a meta I don't have? I'm just using a baseline with you right now. As it happens, you've only posted things that "just bug me". Nothing particularly scummy, but things that I don't think are exactly pro town. And it's appearing to be a bit of a game theory debate more than anything.
You obviously haven't been in a game where I was town before"Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Tar posts variations in health. You can tell when someone is getting +25, I'd think.
How do we find out other people's health?
That's an interesting way to do it. It wouldn't fly in a normal bad idea setup...but...it might actually work here.Hope there's no Double Damage while we're at it.
We can still vote like a normal game and then shoot once the lynch is decided. Leading by example with my RVS vote."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Fire: Budja
And Xyl becomes a target pending the flip I read.
And what happened to waiting?
His posts were scummy.
And what do we say no one picks up the Redeemer? Based on my experience in UT games, it usually gives as many teamkills as it does enemy kills. I think it'd be fair to leave it on the ground.
Awww, I wanted to pick it up. Well, actually, I have an idea. We have someone we trust pick it up (obviously doesn't have to be me), state it's effects and fires, drop it, and pick up their gun again.
This has to be the most ironic thing I've ever read.Scum are getting anxious I see
No reason to stay in the health pod, it's capped at 100 hp
Ok, SC has also gained my distrust.
We need to do this in a PRO TOWN MANNER!
At the least, tell us what redeemer does and DROP IT, SC."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Explain the distrust.

But I hadn't weighed in, firstly. And secondly, it's common sense, I'd think.
Issac + duckduck96 ≠ Everyone.
It was obv anti town.
That's nice, but you ARE assumably a town body (otherwise, die scum die), and numbers are IMPORTANT! Acting scummily just wastes charges
I'm certainly not putting my life at the highest priority, as I believe it is scummy to do so. Dying means only "Better luck next time" to me anymore.

Ok, so you used two posts criteria to determine someone as scummyInstead of asking why I shot budja how about saying who you think I should have shot instead. He was the scummiest player. I plan to continue to shoot scummy players until I run out of ammo or the scum kill me.
Sincerely, your 280-damage-a-shot dayvig.

Not as permanently as one would be led to believe, but yeah.

Yeah, essentially. I actually would have accepted "Felt like it" more than the BS line he gave us now.see, what makes me suspicious about Xyl is that he basically Fritlzer'd out. Which, okay, if you want to be the Fritlzer and get the first kill, I really don't care. I don't. But then you try to back it up with a completely ridiculous excuse. And you stick to it."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

This
Where did this come from?
you are playing your role exactly like I would expect an SK to, and wanting to go down in a "blaze of glory" with what would otherwise be a strong pro-town role seems inconsistent with being town
I also know there are relicsNow how are the two of you so sure that there ARE relics in the game? My buddy obviously didn't come across one either.
You do realize I'm highly limited on the time I have available, and I've said this before. I work. A LOT. I only get early morning and late evening. OF COURSE I'M "lurky"
Reasons for calling extremely lurky players town are...
Why?
Kairyuu and forbiddanlight are people you should also consider shooting.
Umu...hmm...I think I may be finishing the job on Xyl now. I don't like what he's done thus far and I think he's just trying to pretend he's harmless now.
As such

That was pathetic. I was going to shoot Kai as well, to be honest. kuribo got me though. Good game. I was indeed leaning scum on Isacc, but not SK.

I know, I'm saying I picked up you were scum before you shot me (and I should have just shot you with the flak cannon, not that it would do much.@FL: By the time you picked up the mini gun (it sucked pretty bad btw) I had already become immune to damage for 36 hours (I activated it when veerus died so his Final Fire couldn't kill me). You wouldn't have been able to do anything to me. Also, I killed you, not kuribo. I pretty much went public with my alignment as soon as I realized that veerus had killed another townie for us. By that point I knew I could outright kill 2 out of the 3 remaining townies at once with the Redeemer/Sniper Rifle combo, so I was convinced that scum had won (even though at the time I thought kuribo would be dead).
Either way, good game, better played when I have more time. That was unfortunate :S."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."
